Baby Aspirin

Anyone still taking it and if so how long will you take it? Also, what are the advantages to taking it pass the 2nd trimester? Thanks.

I'm taking it...

My RE never told me to stop it, and when my perinatal doctor found out he was fine with it - said it can help avoid blood pressure issues.

I haven't been told anything about stopping it.

Well, my OB said 2 weeks ago I needed to stop, but im terrified to stop. So I vowed I would try to stop this week/weekend. Last night was my first night not taking it.

I dont know what the advantages are now... I know it has to be stopped before 3rd trimester, unless there is a medical reason.

So I am voting we are safe to stop! We can stop together.

I'm taking one a day before bedtime.

Tamaz - I will be interested to see what your doc says.

It should definitely be stopped in the 3rd trimester, at least 6 wks prior to birth is the general consensus. Generally it is used just throughout the first trimester.
