How many hours does your LO sleep in a 24 hr period? How long do naps last? My two seem to sleep a lot for almost 11w. I bet my DD sleeps 20 hours a day. We have some regular nap times forming. The midday one at 12:30 can last 3-4 hours for DD. Her other naps are 1-2.5 hours. Seems like a lot to me. I follow the EASY technique (Eat, Activity, Sleep, Your time), but DD always wants to be swaddled and sleep after eating and when she wakes up, she is hungry again so there is no activity time.
How about yours?

We are implementing EASY now. At almost 6 weeks...he is sleeping for 1.5 to two hour stretches 3 times a day and and about 8 broken up hours at night. So we are at between 14 and 16 hours of sleep. My guy was like your dd but to get activity time in I let him eat and when he starts getting drowsy, I stop nursing and start playing. When he gets fussy and gives eating cues again I know he is sleepy so I give him the soothie and we spend like 20 minutes going to sleep. Then I have me time. What happens sometimes is that activity time spans two feedings with no nap. He is at least 12 pounds so he needs to eat frequently. Activity time last about 1.5 to 2 hours.

EASY is just an acronym to keeping your babies on a schedule. Basically they eat, have an activity, sleep, and then you have your time. An activity for us is sitting in the bouncy, the swing, or laying under a toy bar. It can also be a walk, songs with mommy, a bath, etc. While doing the activity look for cues of sleepiness (yawning, beginning to cry, a loss of interest, etc) and then prepare them for sleep. Sometimes our activity stage is only 10 minutes. While they're sleeping, do something for you. So far it's worked really well for us.

I would guess that mine sleep alot for 11 weeks also Jen. They sleep about 17 hours day I would say. We have no regular naptimes yet but nightimes are coming along. I am getting 7 hours of sleep now
and they wake up only once.

I'm not so sure how that would work for me, Grayson doesn't sleep after every time he eats. He has daytime spells where he stays up 4 to 5 hours straight.

My two are up for at least 8 hours a day. They only sleep in 2 hour spans during the day and are up for like 2 hours in between. At night they go down at 10pm and sleep until 4am. they eat and go back to sleep until 7am.

EASY sounds pretty much like Babywise which is what we are doing...eat, awake time and then sleep. Logan varies how long he stays awake during the day. Anywhere from 1-2 hours. Then he will sleep for about 1 1/2 hours. We start our night time routine at about 8pm and he is usually asleep by 10pm. Last night he woke up at 1am because he had a major explosion in his diaper
but then when back to sleep until 5am.

hmm.... Grayson only sleeps with a full belly but definitely doesn't sleep after every feeding. Today for example he woke up at 7am, changed, ate, played, ate, fell asleep at 9:30 and slept till 11:30...ate and stayed awake until 2:30 for a 20 min cat nap...etc...
