Just wondering if your little ones are still in the bassinett? Or where they are sleeping? We are having sleep issues all of the sudden...mostly with naps during the day....I was thinking maybe if she started sleeping in her crib she may nap better during the day?

Cole has been sleeping in a crib at night but we have 3 cribs set up...one in our room, one in the basement and one in his room. When he naps during the day, it's either in the swing, the basement crib or the crib in our room, depending on where I am and what I'm doing.
A few days ago, I put him down for the night in his room for the first time. He slept for 7 hours that night....I was shocked! The next night he slept for 5 1/2 hours (in his room) but he had the beginnings of a cold and was stuffy when he woke up. He now has a full-fledge cold and can't lay flat, so the past two nights I've been "sleeping" in a recliner with him on my chest. Once he's feeling better, he'll be sleeping in his room at night. Our two dogs sleep in our room and one of them jumps on/off the bed several times a night and DH gets up at least once during the night so I'm curious to see if Cole will sleep longer in a room that is more "quiet".
Let us know if you move her to the crib and if it helps. Good luck!

Hi! Brady is still in our room in a bassinet. I moved my other two boys out at 8 weeks, but I'm afraid to put him in his room because it's connected by a bathroom to our 15 month old. I don't want him to wake up with Brady at night. So, my plan is to try to wait until he sleeps through and then move him but we'll see.
He has been doing so well for about a week or so now. He usually goes to sleep between 8-9pm and then sleeps for 6 hours. Gets up, eats and back to sleep for another 3 or 4. It has made my life so much easier now that I am back at work!!
Brady's naps are really inconsistent right now...I think that is common. I remember it with the other two. But, they eventually fall back into a nice pattern.
Would love to see some new pictures! I will try to upload some of my little man this weekend.

Hailey is now napping in her crib during the day....yay! She is still sleeping in the bassinett at night....I'm just not ready to move her yet
She does sleep through the night from about 10pm to between 6&7am...no complaints there! She still wakes up in the middle of the night, but as soon as I give her the binkie back...she's back to sleep. She's getting soooooooooooo big! I'll post pics soon!

Can't wait to see pictures! I will try to get some posted of my little Brady. He is a big boy like his brothers! He is smiling and cooing all the time now which is so fun.
He is sleeping in his crib all night now. He goes to sleep around 8 and not gets until about 2-3am. Eats and then is out until 7-8am. Not complaining here either but would love to move that long stretch to start around 10 or 11 and I would get a full nights sleep!
We have to take him to a specialist for his neck next Friday. He has Torticollis (spell) which means the neck muscles on one side grew shorter than the other because he was leaning over in my tummy. They have to teach us stretches and things to get it stretched out. He is doing well though holding up his head so hopefully it will be an easy correction for us.
Talk to you later!

Baily- Do you give him a blanket at night while he's sleeping? I'm nervous cause Hailey likes it in front of her face? She pulls it up over her face at night and I', always checking on her and pulling it down. Thats my biggest fear of her sleeping in her own room.

I have always used blankets even though you are not 'supposed' to. I have always thought they needed them. But, I have never had a baby that has really messed with it or pulled it up like you are saying. That would make me nervous too.
The kinds of blankets I used were knitted with big holes in them if you know what I mean. I always felt like these would be able to be breathed through versus a solid blanket. Do you have anything like that? Or, can you tuck the blanket down the side of the crib to keep it in place? I've done that before too.
Hope that helps

I've always used a blanket too ~ and I started out with the knitted ones with big holes.
Is anyone here still swaddling? I don't do it for the daytime naps, but I still swaddle him when I put him down for the night....I actually do it halfway through his final feeding of the night. It seems to help relax him and signals that it's bedtime. He likes his hands out and usually sleeps with them in fists up by his head. I always put a blanket on him as well, but I only put it up to where his elbows would be, if he didn't have his arms over his head. I haven't had any issues with him pulling the blankets up ~ most of the time he's kicked them all off by morning.
I went back to work this week....it sucks!
