Julie I remember you moved him and it went smooth. I was hoping we would follow your luck. He has done very well, up until yesterday at naptime. Didn't take a nap yesterday or today. How did you get B to stay in bed for his nap?

Now that you mention it, there was a 3 day period where B would come out of his room at naptime &/or nighttime. It was right after he learned how to turn & open the doors. (We keep his door shut when he sleeps.)
When he came out, we just reminded him to was time for a nap/bedtime & walk him back to his room. We stuck to our guns, limited our conversation, and redirected. He stopped coming out on day 2 or 3, I can't remember exactly.
For naps, we did the same. There have been a few times here & there where he doesn't want to take a nap. But we are pretty schedule oriented around here & 12:30 is naptime - unless we are out & about. He is in his room around 12:30 & if he doesn't sleep - oh well! I still leave him in there around a hour. If he chooses to play, not much I can do. But fortunately, that rarely happens.

As long as you maintain consistancy with what is working for you, he will adjust. Sounds like he's just testing boundaries - it should pass

I am having the same problem with naptime now in the big girl bed. Nighttime is pretty good now except when she has to get up to pee in the middle or the night or at 5am. I think I would have done big bed before potty training if I could do it again. Anyway, naps have been torture. She refuses to take them even though she clearly needs one. I have been trying to just lock her in her room for the hour, but it is very hard because she will scream and cry for the majority of it. Not fun.....

I leave him in for a while, but when he starts pounding onthe door, I give up. He hasn't mastered the doorknob yet. We are hoping to get potty training going again soon. But think I will get him used to the bed first.
