    Fine
Hi ya Tricia! You are not alone -- I've been thinking the same thing lately. And I miss you & the other girls too.

As for MG and her priss pot, she went "tee tee" for the first time a few nights ago. I actually missed it though. Not sure where I was....maybe getting my hair done (hey Holly -- mine is darker too! ) or maybe I was seeing Nights in Rodanthe. But she hasn't had much progress in the past few days, and yesterday and Friday night before her bath, she went & sat on her potty, hanging out for awhile w/o doing a thing! I just plan to keep following her lead and don't plan to really push/train for awhile longer.

Other than potty "training", MG is teething BIG time & boy is that fun (ugh). She is learning/saying more and more words everyday. She is also becoming more defiant, LOL. She actually went in time out for the first time today. Though she really didn't seem to mind. I wonder if they've already implemented time out at daycare because she seemed a little familiar with it. Hmm.

Other than that, I'm just staying busy w/ work, MG and keeping up with the house. DH is working alot these days and I swear I have NO ENERGY!! DH and I are supposed to go out of town next weekend for a day or 2 by ourselves. I'm tempted to just go to a hotel down the street and SLEEP!

Update on your end when you can. (((Hugs to you, A. and B))).

Thanks so much for asking about J's allergy situation, Tricia. His doctor is a bit of stick in the mud, but we go in for testing at the end of the month. October 29th and then 30th for results (why we have to wait till the next day for results, I am not sure). So for now we are keeping him off of peanut butter. As for the grilled cheese. Nope. Not taking a liking to it at all. He ate a pancake for dinner Friday night and again for breakfast this morning, he snacks on this and that all day, so I know he isn't hungry, but I still worry. He isn't getting the proper protein, I know. I just bought some pedisure (sp?) granola type bars that have 5 or 6 grams of protein and he loves them, so at least we have that.

Tess, I know how you feel about the potention of having coming to terms with having an only child since we just made that decision. But I will pray that you won't have to deal with it, and your IUI will be a success.

what is Ansley upto these days. I was wondering , was it very difficult in the beginning with two . Im a little nervous
Glad your apetite is picking up for you. Let us know when you and DH get out for that date.

Going from one to two children is a HUGE adjustment. But, you figure it out and then you realize how "easy" it was with just one. J/K for all you singleton mommies out there. Motherhood is never easy, but you all know what I mean. Twiggy, your going to be great as a Mom to two LO's.

To answer the dog question...she is doing great! She still holds her head a little tilted to the right all the time and she's a little wobbly if she tries to move to fast, but other than that she seems happy. She eats fine, spends most of the sleeping under the maple tree, and if someone comes out, she comes as fast as she can wagging her tail for some puppy love. It's so sweet, and her gray old face is just so wise looking...I'm going to miss her so much when she is gone.
The vet said she will probably always have a tilt to her head...but I don't care.
I'm a political junkie too but like you am getting tired of it all and will be glad for election day to be here! I just pray there is a very clear cut winner so we don't have all the drama like before. It's been fun watching the debates and discussing politics with dd for school. She is sorry that she will miss voting this time around.
Which brings up something that I've been feeling a little down about. She will be 17 next month. I have basically a little over a year until I have an adult daughter. I have no idea why I feel so emotional about this one...because I know next years will be hard on me. I'll be old enough to have an adult daughter! UGH!
That's the update here...thanks for thinking of us!
Mandy, I am so happy your furbaby is doing better. I hear you on the 17 yo. Brennan starts kindergarten next year and I'm sort of having some funny feelings in my heart about that, too.

DH and I will be doing an IUI next cycle. If it doesn't work we may do one more then go onto ivf (self pay cycle). I haven't decided if we are going to take a loan from my 401k or try to refinance my current mortgage and equity loan (from previous cycles). Waiting to see what the interest rates will do.

Also, although I haven't come to terms with maybe having only one child, I have been questioning in my mind why I think that would be so bad....and of course have answered myself by saying it's not...Timmy's the best! Just so hard when you feel in your heart that you want to be a mommy again.

Otherwise, things are good and we've been keeping busy. We are even planning a vacation for next year which we haven't done thinking we "might" be pregnant/due. I figure maybe murphys law will strike me once I put down a desposit for our vacation LOL

    So, HOW ARE YOU?!
Tess, goodluck on that IUI. You know you are always in my prayers. My friend read a really good book about why having one child is best and to be celebrated. Of course she read it and wound up pregnant with her second. But it really had her feeling good about the whole single child thing. I'll have to ask her the name of the book. Definitely plan a vacation. I'm with you on the whole "Murphy's Law" thing.

I need to pop into facebook and see what all the hoopla is about. My IRL friends are telling me I need to get involved with that. I'm like an old dog though....hard to teach new tricks.

Do you have lots of signatures on your cast? Think about the arm muscle you've developed by lugging it around. 3 weeks....ugh....I'm sure it can't come soon enough. We miss you, Melanie!!

I agree that it is sad that we are not moving like we once were. I know I have not been able to post like before, although I am finding more time to post during the week these days. J is getting better at "playing" and letting me do stuff, rather than just climbing on my piano and walking around on my kitchen table!!

Thanks for asking about the sleeping. Last night was another somewhat rough night again. Still not anywhere near as bad as that 1.5 hour crying fest from last week. But I definitely took a step backwards with some of the night nursing we did. I know we will get there eventually.

As far as my boys' new school, I LOVE LOVE LOVE it!!! J is the youngest kid in the whole school b/c he turned 18 months the week before school started which is the youngest they will allow kids to enter. He is doing very well there and I love what they are teaching him. My older DS tells me every day that school was "GREAT!". Of course, he can't tell me anything they did or why it was great, but he is happy so that's all that matters. He was actually my main reason for selecting this school.... I decided to hold him out of Kindergarten with his late birthday but wanted him to have a very stimulating environment and this Montessori preschool program is just the thing!

Some more things I have been up to: I have been busily planning my older DS's 5th birthday party which will be next weekend... a Star Wars party! I got my hair colored and I think it came out too dark but everyone else says they like it. We are having a new babysitter come tonight for a few hours, and if it works out, my DH and I may get to go out to dinner every once in a while! hmmm... I guess that's all for now. I will try to update more often on the main board. (In fact, I just thought of a question I can post to everyone...)

Tricia, we are so lucky to have you as our friend here. Your the best!!
Holly, Yay for new sitters. Let us know when you get a date with DH! So glad their new school is working out. That's just like my 4 year old, too, with his expressive language. The Star Wars theme sounds fun. Let us know what you do for that party. Last year we had a bounce house for DS's 4th B-day. I'm not sure what we'll do for his 5th. Fortunately I have until MAy to think about it. Keep up the good work with J.'s sleep training. Let us know when you finally ALL sleep through the night so we can celebrate with you.
