Twiggy, I used Dreft with my first, up until about 6 months. With A., I think I only used it like the first 6 weeks or so and then I just started using our regular detergent. You can switch whenever you'd like. (As long as there are no skin sensitivities or allergies to be concerned about)

As for night time sleeping, A. sleeps through the night. Sometimes she might have a week where she'll wake a time or two, but more times than not, she sleeps through. My first was a different story. He's 3 and still wakes at night on occasion.

    Age: 9 months, 2 weeks

    Weight/height/clothes measurements: 17 lbs, 27 inches, 9-12 months clothes

    Teeth: 1 on the bottom

What is he/she eating now: still just mushy stage 2 foods

New accomplishments: saying "ya ya ya", waving "bye-bye" more consistently, starting to cruise a little

Favorite toy: like the other thread said, anything that's not a toy! He LOVES to type on the computer! But, I'd have to say anything he can chew on. Right now he's playing with his ring stacker. Yay! A real toy!

Plans for the holidays: Christmas w/ the inlaws, then flying down to Florida for a few days.

How do u feel: Mostly good, but constantly battle anxiety. Contemplating starting some Zoloft. I feel so grateful for my family!

Any tips for other moms: hmmmm.... One day when I was complaining to a friend about how messy my house was, she told me that her mother used to say, "Your children will never remember how messy or clean their house was growing up, but they will always remember the fun times and love that they had." (I'm always looking for good reasons to rationalize my messy house!)

    any questions/ concerns:
We're still waiting to hear back from the birth-to-three people to do a developmental eval due to delayed babbling and fine motor issues. I'm starting to wonder if it might be an oral-motor issue due to his difficulties swallowing finger foods.

Twiggy, I go back and forth between the dreft and the stuff that's free and clear of dyes, etc. J does wake to nurse a few times during the night, but goes right back to sleep til morning.
