    Food question

Have any of you fed your LO the Yo Baby yogurt yet? I can't remember when I began feeding it to my DS. It says on the label for babies and toddlers. Should I wait until DD turns one since it has milk in it. We don't suspect any allergies at this point. ~Tricia

Hey Tricia. Good question and one I need to know the answer to as well. I haven't fed it to Molly yet but I plan to. I'm thinking you can feed it to older babies (around 9 - 10 months) but again, not sure.

I have and he loves it - it's one of his fav foods! Pedi told me I could try yogurt at our 6 mo appt, just to avoid the berry flavors. I guess lots of kids have reactions to berries. I think yogurt though is one of those things that you'll find a million different answers for... perhaps consult with your pedi or the nurses at your pedi's office and see what they recommend.

I am glad you posted this question because I was going to. I went out and bought some the other day because I read on the internet that you can start giving it to them around 7-8 months and I want to start weaning her from breastfeeding. I thought that would be another thing to add with the formula. I called the Dr just to see if it is OK and they told me to wait till 11-12 months because it does have milk in it. The stuff I read on the internet said it is still easier to digest than milk. It is all so confusing. Most of the time I think the Dr just tells you those things because they are afraid you will stop giving them breastmilk or formula.

My twins have been eating it everyday since 8.5 months. My doctor also said they could have milk prior to 12 months in addition to their formula. So they frequently get milk with breakfast.

Thanks ladies! I'll check with my ped. and see what he thinks. Like everything else, I guess there are a lot of different view points out there.

BTW...Liz, what is the 777 club? I've seen it a few times around these boards and am curious.

That is really NEAT! Thanks for filling me in. It's amazing...the bonds that form through IF, Tx, and now parenting...all in cyber space. Kudos to the 777 club for maintaining that connection. I bet you all had a ball in Chicago!
