vent -- DH almost sabotaged "operation paci"

I just had to share this with my girls.... Yesterday evening I had DH babysit Molly so I could meet a girlfriend for a quick drink and appetizer (though I should've opted for a nap instead). Anyway, I got back home at about 6:45 to find miss priss in her swing and very content at that. She hates her swing. I knew something was wrong, but couldn't put my finger on it-- I just figured it was my luck that she decides to be an angel for DH, lol. But then I noticed it--- she was swinging and SUCKING away on her pacifier!!!!!!!!!! WTH??????!!!!!!!!! I was so mad at DH. I said-- "what are you doing? you're going to ruin a week's worth of effort!" He mumbled something or other....couldn't hear him from the steam coming out of my ears! UGGH!

I was finally able to take, or rather pry, the paci from Molly's mouth. She had a HUGE toothless grin when the paci popped out -- little stinker!

LOL!! I don't mean to laugh, but I can totally see my dh doing the same thing. They do what they can to survive the night.

I have been trying to kind of wean our son but have not gone cold turkey. I often find my DH franticallyl ooking for it, sometimes when he just can be soothe in other ways. He looks like a crazy guy looking for it.....I stand back and watch. My DS is starting to just wean himself a little, so DH is forced to pull out another trick. Its fun to watch....I think I am a little evil.

Twiggy, how did you know?? LOL Yep, hands were on my hips. I think I was born that way -- my mom could attest to that. I need to find a pic of me when I was one or two years old in my normal stance. Now y'all know where Hot Tamale Molly gets her fiesty personality from!
