Question Recommendation for doctor to perform mTESE?

I think we will end up having to travel to have this done, even with insurance. The RE here interchanges the terms TESA/TESE/mTESE. When I asked him about performing microsurgical dissection...he gave me a blank look, and then said that I must be talking about MESA/TESA.

I realize that Dr. S @ Cornell is the best, but I'm inquiring about anywhere in the Southeast, specifically.

TIA!

I hate to "necro-post", but I have done an e-mail consult with Dr. Schlagel. He essentially pointed out that my suspicions are correct that the RE here is an idiot. I read somewhere that Cornell doesn't take insurance of any kind. Is this correct?

Hi. You can file insurance later (11K up front) and then insurance will take care of (if they say they will) the hospital bill and anthesia and will reimburse you for some of the $11K.

However, our insurance said it would cover it and they found out it was for infertility so they did not.

Good luck!
