Performing TESE 24 hours before ER/ICSI
Hi all,
My IVF clinic wants to perform TESE 24 hours before the ER/ICSI. I would appreciate if you could share your knowledge or experience about the effect of using sperms that have been incubated 24hours before ICSI. What did your clinics do? There is another clinic in my town with similar success rates, they seem to favor same day TESE and ICSI. Thanks,

Hi. That is how Cornell did it when we were there! The first TESE was successful and they found sperm right off (it was not very strong - but we have a baby from it). The 2nd TESE there was no sperm - but the Dr right after surgery said that sperm may fall out from the tissue - that is why they wait for the ER until the next day. But there was no sperm the next day - but it can happen!
So that is completely normal! |
