Dh diagnosed with Severe MFI
We got the partial results back, still waiting for the mot/morph.
Volume: 0.2 ml (ahhh) Count: 15 mill. total, but 1.5 mill/ml So it's BAD. DH said that volume wasn't normal for him, that he felt rushed. But it's still only 15 mill. a ml. DR wants him to see a urologist, and I am putting him on Fertility Blend as soon as it arrives. Any other suggestions?

My DH has 1 million/mL, only 1 mL.
So far we tried 1 IUI in April and his count was 40,000 sleeping sperm the first insemination, which they "woke up" and 300,000 total motile count for the second insemination. Our clinic put him on the SOFT potion to increase sperm count/motility, which includes DHA and L-Carnitine and a multi-vitamin... Urologist is a must...he'll probably go for a testicular ultrasound and see if he has a vericocele or a blockage. |

Go right to a urologist who specializes in male infertility. I say this from experiences and feeling like I "wasted" many, many good years TTC before DH went to a great urologist.
The urologist will do an exam to check for a vericocele and possibly an ultrasound of the scrotum/testicles if he/she suspects a vericocele. They will also do repeated semen amalyses 3 months apart because it takes that long for new sperm to be produced and become mature. They will also do some bloodwork to look at his hormone levels as well. It's really helpful for him to have the full workup so that you know exactly what you're working with. Good luck! |
