help with semen analysis (what about this result)

This is my DH SA from a week ago
Time produced: 10:29am
Times observed: 10:45, 11:20am
Liquefaction: YES
Sperm motility: 30%motile
WBC's: +
Volume:2.5ml
Sperm count: 130x10^6/ml = 130million per ml

Comments: Normal spermatoza morphology, only 20% moving directionally. Most of the spermatoza were dead.

MY QUESTION
* can anyone break this down for me and shed some light on why it says that the white blood cells are positive (wbc). And tell me our chances as we are scheduled to meet with an Urologist in 2weeks.*

I can't help you with all of it, but here is what I know.

Count- GREAT!!
Motility should be 50% or above, so yours is a little low, but not horrible
Normal morphology good
the volume is normal

I'm not sure about the comments, but hopefully someone else can help you out.

Preg ment

The +WBC's means a possible infection, don't freak it doesn't mean STD, but could be a mild prostatitis which could affect the motility. Overall, the count is good so the urologist will probably do an exam then maybe prescribe an antibiotic for a couple of weeks. Good Luck, we got pregnant with 0 motility!

The motility is a little low, but not too bad. Count (total motile) is great! That's 16 times better than my DH had for our IUI, and I had a BFP today (although just barely positive). In the comments it says that most of them were dead- that could be from abstaining for too long. 3-4 or 5 days is maximum so that you don't get old dead sperm in the sample as looks like may be the case for you guys. I would wager the urologist will order another analysis. Make sure you "clean out the pipes" 5 days before.

Good luck to you both :-)

My DH had a high white count and 30% motility on his SA as well. He took antibiotics as prescribed. Two cycles later I just got a BFP yesterday. We also used instead cups to keep as many swimmers in as possible.
