7% morph, poor survivability - IUI??
Hello all, I'm new to this forum.
I'm not new to infertility, but new to MFI. I've had 4 early miscarriages (between 5-8 weeks) and a complete recurrent miscarriage workup that came back normal on my end. The only identifiable issues we've found so far are DH's SA results. Count: 300 million Motility: 76% Rapid - 30%, Moderate - 50% (3+ on the progression scale) 7% morph (Kruger) And the biggest issue seems to be his 24-hour survivability was terrible. Overnight there were only 10% still moving. If we did IVF we'd have to do ICSI. Because we've gotten pregnant before, our RE has recommended we try first IUI with superovulation...but is this a waste of money? DH was able to conceive two children with his ex-wife (the youngest is almost 5). Each shot at IUI will cost us $2,000. Just wondering if anyone else has done the 24-hour survivability test?

Never had the 24 hour survivablity test but I'm in a similar boat having had three miscarriages and full recurrent miscarriage work-up with no obvious cause found. DH had low motility and morph as a bit low. We've been referred for IUI with clomid or injections or IVF. I have such mixed feelings about trying either because of the conceptions we've had on our own. I would love to keep up with your story and see what you decide. Baby Dust to you.

300 mil is a LOT !!! Even 10% of it is 30K this is more then enough... they say 10K total motile is good for IUI.
My DH had 3% morph and after vitamins/minerals for 3 months we got pregnant on the 2nd IUI. Our beautiful DD is 4 months tomorrow. Good luck! |
