Hi,
DH has very a very low count and keeps getting lower. We've been married for 8 yrs and TTC for about 3 yrs and it wasn't happening so we went to an RE and that's when we found out he had a count of 4 mil with low motility and low everything. So they told us when you get your period next month call and we were supposed to start reatment for IVF. Miracle of all miracles I never got my period!!! And we had identical twin girls!! The dr had told us that we could get prgnant on our own it was just going to take a lot longer and maybe it would never happen. Now we're hoping to get pregnant again and our daughters are almost 4 yrs old so we went to the same clinic and actually had an IUI done last week. When DH got the SA the count was 3 million and he was put on conceptionxr. It didn't work because he was on it for 3 months and his count was the same. The RE we have this time actually said to us that we had less than a 1% chance of getting pregnant every month and that we could have sexy times til we're blue in the face and it would still not make a difference. I have always had a very regular cycle until this year. I turned 36 and it seems like i've only gotten my period 3 times since. I did ovulate with clomid and the dr said that I already conceived once so as long as he can get DH's swimmers to behave and do their job we should be OK. Good luck to you and lots of baby dust.

Last time dh was tested (7 or 8 yrs ago?), his count and motility were ok, but morph was 3%. We did 11 IUIs over 4yrs and never got pg. Then we adopted ds1 and a week after we brought him home from Russia, found out I was pg w/ ds2! Miracles do happen! ...and they can happen again - I'm now pg w/ #3, again, all on our own!
Good luck to you!

My dh has a strict morph of 3%. We had our first with IVF/ICSI but got p/g without intervention when our ds was 10m old. I never used to believe those stories but they really do happen.

Dh had less than 100,000 sperm and were also told that it was a less than 1% chance of conceiving naturally. So we jumped into IVF with ICSI and it failed. I felt i had NO other choice so we decided to save up and do it again. It took about a year to save up and during that time we made a few changes in our diets, exercise, and even did some acupuncture treatments. 1 month before we were going to jump onto the IVF wagon again...we got pg naturally. Such a blessing. Now i am praying for baby#2 and hope that it will happen again. I don't think i would do any IVF again though...very exhausting, expensive, and no guarantees. Perhaps i would have a different opinion had i not gotten pg....who knows. Everyone needs to do what they feel is best for them

BUT miracles DO happen

I saw the title of your post and wanted to share this story. Stories like this really give me hope that miracles can happen. I have a friend whose husband had very poor DNA morphology (not sure about the count). They went to a urologist who gave him very expensive vitamins. 3 or 4 months later he went back for a follow up and his results were absolutely no better. The urologist basically said there was nothing more he could do for him. They were also seeing an RE at the time and the RE said they would do absolutely everything they could for them, but gave them very little hope that they would be parents. They found out shortly afterwards that they had concieved naturally, and were actually pg at that doctors appt. Their little girl was 1 last September and they concieved naturally again last June. My friend is due any day now. Miracles really do happen. They had been trying for 3 years and my friends husband had also tried in his previous marriage with no success. My friend knows that my husband and I have been trying for 2.5 years (unexplained) and told me that what they think worked for them was both times they had intercourse within hours of her ovulating. Not intentionally, it just happened. The first time she felt very strong ovulation pains within hours of having sex. The second time she felt very strong ovulation pains and they had intercouse within hours. They weren't even trying. They figured they had so much trouble conceiving the first they wouldn't get pg again naturally.

I was diagnosed with a varicocele, low sperm count, and less then 2% normally shapped. The count was 1.5 million. We tried ivf, fet's, and iui's nothing worked. I went for the varicocele repair. My count went to 4.5 million, with normal parameters. The count was still low. I was also put on clomid which is when it hit the 4.5 million. Last sept my dw was pg, and all natural. It definatly can happen. We did do alot of praying im sure that made the difference.
