    My dh was fired today.

So when I've recovered from the shell shock I'll be back to post.

That's a sick, sick feeling. We were expecting it when dh lost his job in January, but it was still a shock. Not expecting it . . . just awful!

I'm sorry that happened to your dh, to you. What you will receive here is understanding, and realistic, practical advice for what finding a new job will be like, and how to go about it.

My DH's firing in early February was also a total, 100% shock. We had no indication - whatsoever - that he was going to be let go. He had just spent the entire month at his Atlanta office (we live in San Diego), arrived home Wednesday evening, went to his San Diego office Thursday morning and they fired him. WTF?? Sorry, as you can see, I'm still a tad bitter ;-)

Hang in there & hope your stay here is short!

MegSD: Hi, I just come across this thread and sorry to hear about your DH. My DH's job is fine but I have been looking for job for 2 years after taking care of my mom for 5 years. It really sucks to look for jobs these days. I was a computer programmer before. I tried to look for all kind of jobs from programming, office clerk, customer service, and to waitress. I'm really lost. Even going back to school, I don't know what kind of job can land me a job.
