Sorry I have been MIA. My life has been crazy the past two weeks. So one of my twins started diarrhea last Tuesday. Well from Tuesday to Wednesday he had a fever of 102.0 to 104.8. He was still having crazy diarrhea (like 14 a day) and then he had a febrile seizure. Needless to say we ended up at the hospital with fever and dehydration. Turns out he has a rare growth salmonella poisoning. With that he was not supposed to have contact with other kids. Well we have his brother at home, duh! But luckily nobody else in the house got sick and the little dude is much, much better.
Then, my clinic cycle starts October 12. Well, for the girl who never gets af, guess who is starting af, a week too early. I am going to call my RE nurse tomorrow and see if I will still be okay or will I need to wait. If I have to wait I think I will hold off until January, just to get past all the holiday times.
Hoping - Wow I can't believe your already 11 weeks!! Are you going to find out the sex of the baby?
Jessica - Congrats on being PUPO!!
Hairwiz - I am so glad you found some embryos and are moving on!! Hopefully everything will schedule nicely for you!
Kris - Glad you and El are starting again. And I know about joining the Fall group. I just don't know if I can do it again. And I am so sorry for your friends. It just breaks my heart reading their story and knowing the decisions they have to make.

hairwiz - I recognize a couple of the names in the group, but...I don't know, it seems clique-y. Could just be me. *LOL* The transfer will be before the end of the month.
I'm excited and nervous and scared and...kinda calm. It's very weird. I haven't heard from our friends since the day before they went to the hospital. I'm giving them time. I might actually send them a message in a bit.
hoping - thank you. Of all the people on here, you were the one I knew without a doubt would understand. xx Wishing you the best for your scan! And...kinda hard to believe that you're already 11 weeks. It seemed like it took us FOREVER to get to 11 weeks when we were expecting Thomas. *LOL*
marianne - So sorry to hear abotu your little boy! But, I'm so happy to hear that he's doing better. That must've been terrifying.
afm...
It's been an annoying kind of week.
On Wednesday, I received a letter from the hospital saying that my thyroidectomy was scheduled for Monday, 10 October. I kind of freaked out over the fact that I was only getting 4 1/2 days notice. I was supposed to call the admissions office this afternoon to find out what time I needed to be there, etc.
A nice lady named Mary called me from the admissions office this morning.
Apparently, they'd mistakenly sent out the wrong paperwork. She gave me a new (and my proper) date and then I freaked out again, because I was sure that our transfer was going to be around that time. El called the clinic and yep...the transfer was set for the day of my surgery.
So, I called the hospital back and explained the situation.
The public health system in Australia is wonderful, but there are a few quirks. If you're having a procedure through the public system, they tell you when you're having it...and if you can't have it on that day, they normally move you back to the end of the waiting list.
Mary was very nice though...and was able to switch my date with someone else's.
My surgery is now on the 2 November...and while I won't feel like going out and celebrating my birthday (the 5th), at least I'll be able to be there for the transfer.
