Dodo, so far it sounds like you won't have to use Plan C, although it's nice to know that in the event it were to become necessary it's available. I wonder if RE will do a 3 and 5 day transfer with your embryos. I hope you get more good news tonight![]()

Dodo - Is today Day 4 or Day 3? Is your transfer scheduled for tomorrow or Saturday? Sometimes the RE will transfer on Day 3 if he is worried about the quality/quantity of embryos, but it sounds like Dr. Lin is still planning to transfer on Day 5. I assume Plan C is not for this cycle, but for an upcoming cycle only if this one doesn't work, is that right? And you get to say yay or nay on the donor, right?
In any case, I will keep you in my thoughts. I hope the better embies will do well in the next couple of days. Good luck!!!!

Hi Ruthie and Moon, thank you for the support and thoughts!
today is day 3 for the first group of embies and day 2 for the second group of embies. the Plan C is only if this cycle doesn't work and no snow babies left. In Plan C, I would not have any choice on the donor, they would pick the most fertile donor and split the eggs to couples like us. But that's not what I wish.
I called our coordinator in the afternoon about the embies. She told me that I have a total of 9 embies still growing on the right track, 5 embies on day 3, and 4 embies on day 2.
I still don't know the transfer time. The nurse who knows RE's schedule had late lunch this afternoon when I called. Our coordinator will call us tomorrow with the update of the embies and the transfer time. ET will be on Saturday morning. I'm getting excited and nervous now.
Have a good night and sweet dream!

Dodo-you have been on my mind all week. I was pretty worried about you when we didn't hear from you the other night. Try not to worry my dear. I only had 10 fertilized embryos to work with. That was dissapointing and did cause me some angst, but in the end, we got what we needed from the cycle....I am pray that you will not need "plan C', but it is nice to know that Dr. Lin is committed to giving you a baby. I'm praying that all goes nice and smooth for the transfer tomorrow! Wow your transfer is tomorrow. Be well my friend.

Hi Dodo- hoping you got a good report today! DH and I were hiking around the Quail nature trail in Irvine and we could clearly see RFC's building on a good part of our walk. I said a prayer for your embies growing in there!
Vicotoria, so sorry about the GD! Just keep up the good diet even after Liam is born. I have a friend that got careless eating a lot sugar after the birth and got full blown diabetes. She was so skinny too, I couldn't believe it.

Dodo - How are you doing? Thinking of you.
Victoria - Sorry about the GD. I just started wanting sugary foods too, so I am worried about GD at my next test. As for maternity leave, I am also thinking about staying home until the New Year. That means some unpaid weeks, although my husband is also entitled to family bonding time of 6 weeks at partial pay, so maybe we can use that and let me get back to work early. So much to consider.
I read today that a lady on this website delivered her full-term baby stillborn. The baby's umbilical cord wrapped around her neck 6 times and she wasn't able to breathe. It's so heartbreaking. A friend of mine who delivered a few weeks ago almost had the same problem with her son - he couldn't drop because the umbilical cord was wrapped around his neck, luckily the doc did an emergency c-section to get him out. It's the worst nightmare for parents. Please say a prayer for this lady and her family.

Oh my gosh Moon, that is so tragic! Birth is such a dangerous process. I will say a prayer for her. It's easy to understand why so many docs like to do C-sections.

Ruthie - Yeah, I wasn't planning a c section before, but now I am considering it as a possibility. I guess it's very common for the umbilical cord to be wrapped around the baby's neck, but it only poses a threat if there is a knot on the cord at the time of birth (although if the knot is present in utero, it is a threat too). It's something that can't be prevented. The doctors can monitor the baby's heartbeat at delivery, but stillborn still can happen. I just feel so sad for her.

Hi really hate hearing about birthing accidents. My SILs son died during labor many years ago. The thought of this haunted me with DD. I had to do lots of meditation to overcome the fear. I will start doing my meditations again soon with this pregnancy....
I don't understand how a baby can die of a cord accident when the baby is supposed to be monitored 100% of the time during the labor. If the baby stats having ANY issues...It's time to bring in the surgeon. I'm going to talk with my OB about this.
I will pray for the poor family who had to endure this. I can't even imagine the pain.
Dodo...........Where art thou? How did things go today? Keeping you in my thoughts.
I'll check in again tomorrow. I'm still at work. That's bad news, but at least my experiments worked. That's great news.Me 44

Just checking in to see if there is any news dodo.
Oh man, that post scares the crud out of me. Being #1 for us, these thoughts cause me anxiety. I am so sorry to read that.
On a weird subject, have you all heard about baby mapping/baby spinning? I stumbled onto a sight and thought it was fascinating.
