Hi all! I've been really busy with work this week so I haven't been able to post. Sorry

Ellie: Sounds like you are ready to go. GL Has your donor cycled before? Sorry if you already told us this before.

Bisb: Wow!! I know you are nervous but try to enjoy the feeling of having a dream come true. You don't want to miss that!!

Mel: I grant you the "LINING AWARD" Mine used to get close to 13, but now only 9. Congrats and GL

Molly: I'm so sorry for the BFN. I have only 1 Frostie too, so I know the stress you are under. Hang in there.

Patty: I'm sending lots of sticky vibes your way. Remember that the beta is really the best measure. We will be here for you either way.

Rhonda: Thanks for all of the info. on the clinics. I;m sending you "speedy test vibes" if there is such a thing. I was really looking forward to cycling with you. I'm day 21 today and go in for my consult to start Lupron, maybe. We have to get more info. on the clotting and immune stuff. Thanks again for your info. on that too. You are so thoughtful to answer so many questions.

Sal: Thanks for Illinois clinic info.

Dodo: Maybe the BCP will help with your AF and then you can be on your way.

CJ29: Welcome. I don't know anything about NYC, but this is the right place to be to get some answers. Everyone is so helpful and supportive on this thread. When I finally realized that I wouldn't be having a genetic child of my own (and I'm also an only child) I had to actually grieve. It is a significant loss and I think that I'm mentally healthy now that I have reached the stage of acceptance. My DH has had to grieve with me and also for the loss of our "love" child. Rhonda is right about focusing on the idea of wanting to be a parent. Parenting is one of the most noble jobs in this world and if we can raise another human being who can contribute to our society in a positive way then that is something to be proud of. Because you know that not all of the people getting pregnant out there are taking that job as seriously as we will. We will be here for you!

AFM: I have my Day 21 consult to go over bloodwork on Immune stuff and clotting this morning. Then I guess we are off to the FET. Lupron here we come.

[B]Patty..I'm right where u are, I'm 10dp3dt of 2 embies and all hpt's this far are negative. I have pretty much the same symptoms as you. My beta is on Friday!! Those pee sticks are evil, I called my RE and was told not to worry..it is still early and hcg shows in blood before urine! I'm trying to keep it together but it's so hard. I think I bought out the dollar tree's stock of htp's this week, I also used CB digital! Please keep us posted!

[B]Mal...]Sounds like your on your way to a great cycle. GL!!

Congrats to all BFP's!!!

Baby dust to all u other ladies!!

Congratulations Bisb! What a lovely surprise! Enjoy.

Mel,

Awesome results! Whooo! Hoooo! Sounds especially encouraging.

Patty,
How are you hanging in?

Rhonda,

Sorry for the timing uncertainty. I finally gave in to impatience and called the OB regarding no AF since July's D & C. He prescribed five days of meds, so AF will hopefully be here by the 9th. (Was praying that AF would come because I called him!, but no such luck.)

That will put my transfer near the end of November. Very disappointing for it to be so long between transfers.

Dana

Edited to add: I got my hopes up too soon. The OB prescribed ten days of provera with AF expected about 14 days after that. So another three weeks--bringing me to 13 weeks after the D & C and FET in Dec. Shoot. Guess I will be making calls tomorrow.

Beta is in, drum roll please.......

I'm pregnant. But my beta was low at 32 and anything over 25 is considered pregnant at my clinic. Today is 14dpo or 9dp5dt. So now I remain cautiously optimistic, but extremely hopeful. I just think my body naturally produces less HCG because my 2 previous pregnancies, albeit ectopics, both started out with low HCGs but doubled normally. My last ectopic started at 41 on 15dpIUI. I know ectopics are known for low betas, but I can no longer have an ectopic, so I know that's not the case in this situation. And I was told that because these were 5 day embies, they can clearly see that they would not end up being blighted ovums due to the inner and outer cell masses that both get graded before transfer, although I suppose anything is possible. But I now am in beta hell and will have to go back for next beta on Friday morning and was told I will likely be doing many blood tests. So I'm sure it will also be Mon, Wed and Friday next week, too.

Ok Sharon, you are next. But hang in there. I actually took a FRER on Monday morning and looked at it so quickly I threw it on the counter and never picked it back up again until I finally threw it in the garbage. But yesterday I decided to dig it out and take a better look because all of a sudden I was getting terrible cramps and my boobs still hurt and I got bouts of nausea and hunger pains. And then the dry mouth kicked in, too. And after staring at that thing in every direction, I could see the faintest of faint pink lines. But now it all makes sense why. My beta would have been around 16 on Monday morning. Good luck. I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for both of us.

Thinking of all the rest of you ladies. Will keep you posted on next beta.

Patty

WARNING: very depressing post

Well, today's consult did not go well.
Bad news #1: I have genetic thrombophilia. Sounds like a ticking time bomb for a blood clot to my lung or brain. Yeah. RE put me on 50mg B6, 4mg Folic Acid, 100mcg B12 (I already take 1000mcg), still taking BA. Then, if I get pregnant, I will probably have to have the Lovenox throughout the pregnancy.
Has anyone's RE prescribed the Lovenox prior to BFP? Should I see a Hemetologist if my RE won't prescribe it?

Bad News #2: 1 of the donated frosties we thought we might use, has a family history of lung cancer. Nurse is sending more info.

Bad News #3: 7 donated embies that were a possiblity, have a sibling that has autism. Parents are getting divorced, so that is why they are donating the eggs. DH will probably stick by his "no thanks" that he stated at the RE's office.

Would you guys take "free" embies knowing that an IVF baby sibling developed autism?

I guess all my hopes are going to have to hang on to this 1 frostie we have and hope that the thrombo. doesn't effect it. After that I don't know what I'll do. Looks like I need not only donated eggs and sperm but a F........ing new uterus too.

Sorry this is soooo angry....it's a stage of grief I hear. LOL

Patty: Congrats to your BFP! send you tons of sticky vibes!

title1: Sorry to hear about the news! I have Thalassemia Minor. I saw a hematologist before I started anything. He gave me instructions of what to pay attention to in case I'm pregnant. I think it won't hurt if you consult a hematologist. Hope everything's alright!

Congratulations on the postive beta Patty!

My first RE said they felt comfortable with a 14dp beta of 40, so you are pretty close--especially if you 'normally' have low betas. I normally have really high betas with singletons and my OB said some women just produce more hcg and it is not an indication of viability. It's the rate it rises at that is important.

Crossing my fingers for your next beta! Hmmmm. How about 90 or more for 16dp?
