This is for our old group to reconnect and have a place to update each other and chat! It is exciting that many of us have taken different paths...I also know that many of us are still praying and waiting for it to be their time. I want you to know that you all continue to be in my prayers... Anyways, I wanted to find a neutral ground here. Of course- anyone is welcome to join in.
As for me...I am doing good. I am in my 22nd week now and getting very round. I have had a lot of problems with not being able to poop! lol. BUT the dr. gave me a prescription powder that you mix with a drink and it is getting lots better. I have gained about 15-20 pounds total so far. The dr. thinks I will gain anywhere from 35-50- whew! The babies are about 11 inches long now and weigh about a pound each.
Kate, again I am so happy for you. I have you on my prayer list and pray daily that all will go smoothly. You will be a mommy so very soon. Did you check out motherease.com at all? Their "one size" ones start at 8 pounds...so it might be something you could start after things settle down and stuff. I am still undecided if I will go with the unbleached or organic.
Okay, hope to hear from you all very soon.
Love,
fg

I love the name of the new thread!
Abi,
Great idea about the new thread. It doesn't matter where we meet - just that we meet. I'm assuming motherease is a cloth diapering system? I will check that out soon. I have checked into one I cannot remember the name of (saw it on ebay then it takes you to the site) and then another one called fuzzybunz! Oh yeah - on Amazon they have one made by Kushies too. I think the difference was one was one size fits all (with snaps to adjust), and the other had small medium and large (maybe even XL for older kids in training). The latter seems to be more expensive but they may fit better, especially for small babies. Some require plastic covers because they leak; some include disposable or washable liners. Some come in great colors and designs and for around the house, that may be all the kid needs to wear. The good thing about cloth is they potty train sooner because they can feel it when they go; the bad thing is they may leak, especially at night. A lot of parents do cloth during the day the disposable for nights and travel.
It is all just so much to absorb! I may order one or two of a couple of different brands to see what works best. Email me if you want the sites I have been checking. But for travel (and on this first trip for sure), we are going to do disposable bleach free diapers from Seventh Generation. We got two boxes (42 count) of Newborn which is 5-11 lbs. That should cover us for a week long trip! Unless this kid is born 10lbs or something...then we will be running to the nearest store for Huggies. LOL
I started this baby pool last night...if anyone wants to know the name of our specific game, PM me. It is really fun to participate. Here is the site http://www.ExpectNet.com

Hi Kate!
Glad you found it! I thought this would be a good place- it was the best one I could find for all of us and anyone that wants to join in.
Yes, oops- I was talking about the cloth diapers. Yes, I have done research on all of those brands that you mentioned. I have done my research and am going to go with the one size snaps by motherease.com. I have been told that they do not leak... You might check out the forum on that site- many ladies have used all of the brands...and have good info. Also, yes, I will be using the plastic cover over...and at night you can just snap in the liner on the inside...and use more fleece liners (that you just cut...no sewing involved) an place in for more protection. AND you can do more for doubling if you need to. The fleece liners make for easy cleanup and little stains on the diapers themselves (what I am told anyways...lol). I won't be able to use those though until 8 pounds... SO....I am not for sure what we will do before that. I have heard to use either the XS Sandys by motherease.com or to use the Kushies...I think. I am going to have to go back and look. There is a thread on the general pregnancy board titled cloth or disposable? You might check it out. The ladies there gave me some good info. I bet the seventh generation ones are nice...and bleach free- that is great. I bet they are expensive huh?
Okay, I have to get back to work..I just popped in.

Where is everybody else?
Can they not find us yet? Maybe just busy with life.
Anyhow, I liked the motherese site and decided to order their starter pack which should be here when we get home. We will check it out and then maybe do a full order - how may are you getting - 24? I understand that as newborns they go ALOT and it tends to leak. We will use the seventh gens on the road, and yeah, can't afford to do that forever! The Sandy's XS looks like it might be a good option to get you to 8lbs. I guess with twins you are expecting them to be around 5 at birth? Our baby may be big (her other baby was 9lbs at birth but he was 1w overdue), so we may fly through that newborn seventh gen size. But we only have two boxes, so not too much expense at this point. I also got some 7th gen wipes for the road. At home, I may just use the washcloths. Costco also has size huge econo-box of wipes that are hypo-allergenic, fragrance free, etc. I'm thinking the wipes aren't as hard on the environment as the full diapers. But we'll see. My MIL told me that way back when dh was lil, she did cloth diapers with no washing machine - can you imagine!?!
We may have to go recruitin' to get the others in here.

Hey Girls,
Glad I found the link -like to join the club.
I like to know how everybody is doing on their individual journey. As I am sure you are both aware on this IF journey - I had good days and bad so I tend to check in on FT on the good days when I feel up to reading about everyone and getting great news about Kate's adoption progress or Abi's pregnancy and everyone else update. Everything gives me hope. Just an update - I am on a doctor imposed break due to cysts after our first failed IUI/inject cycle. I meet with the RE on Wednesday so I am hoping to find out when we can get the ball running again.
I think it is great to have this link - I love hearing updates on everything and hear nothing is off-limits.
Talk to you soon!

marge and deni- yea! I am glad you found us... I know- I haven't been in the chat room in FOREVER! I have got to do that- maybe we will have to set up a chat date! lol.
deni- I hate the cysts thing. That also happened to me once when I was going through my IUI's and it was so frustrating just feeling like I was doing nothing. Did the dr. put you on bcp or just have you ride it out? I have heard of dr.'s doing both. Mine didn't do the bcp- he didn't believe in that theory and quite frankly neither do I. Well, I just didn't want to take any more bcp's. I plan not to the rest of my life for many reasons.
I, too, think it is great to have this board as a place where we can all reconnect and not be intrusive to anyone.
Kate, I think I plan to get 36 of the one size diapers. I am still deciding on the xs sandys and how many to get. I might just have to do a load everyday for at first with those. I just don't want to get more than 24 of what they are going to grow right out of. Yea, I am thinking between 5 and 6 pounds...and that they will be in the xs sandy's for about 3 months? That is what others are saying anyways....I don't know. I think I am also going to do the reusable wipes- just throw those in with the diapers anyways- but then of course some reg. for the diaper bag etc. I am not for sure on what fabric I am going to use though on the wipes... The ones on the site look cool- but whoa- expensive I guess.
Okay, gotta get back to work. I don't know where everyone else is? Hopefully they will find us soon.

Hi, Ladies!!!!
Sorry I haven't posted, though I did see this great thread a couple of days ago. So thrilled we have a new place to post!
You two are so brave to go for the cloth diapers! I would've considered it for one, but two? omigosh--I'd never get my DH involved in that process! lol! One of girlfriends swears by it, though. She says it's much safer and sanitary for the baby because they get changed right away.
Kate, I'm so glad that things sound like they are moving along nicely! I haven't been able to log on that baby pool thing.
Are you all shopped out and all prepared to bring your little one home?! I'm dying to start shopping, but so afraid it's still too early. (only 10w3d).
Morning sickness, indigestion, and heartburn have taken over my life, so that's why I haven't been on too much. It lasts all day and it's more than just feeling queesy. This, too, shall pass, though! It's so bad, that I do have to kick myself and remind myself that it is for a good reason! DH is scared to come near me--I think he thinks it's contagious!
Abi, how are you feeling these days???
Can't wait for full updates, girls, but in the meantime, gotta go lay down with some Mylanta...
Lots of love to all!

Hey Abi - the doc did put me on bcp's to help make the cysts go away - I was very apprehensive but he told me that I would have a better chance of making the cysts go away and getting back on track for the next cycle. It is still very hard for me to pop that pill, however - the irony of having to take bcp's at this time is just crazy to me but whatever helps. I had alot of cysts since the trigger shot did not work last cycle - hopefully at my Wed appt we will do a check and see where I am at.
Has anyone here ever had breakthrough bleeding - I had what I thought was AF this weekend but is seemed to early so Ic alled RE and they said that it was breakthrought bleeding due to bcp's? Just wondering if anyone knew anything about it? Do bcp's make your cycle longer? Iw ant to get moving -haha.
MARGE - great to hear from you - hope things are going well in your world - keep us up to date. I too come and go on the boards based on my mood but I am trying to stay EVEN!
