Preseent of a dula.

I am giving my SIL a present of a dula for her baby gift..... is that too wierd - I wish so much I woul dhave done one, to help manage the experience - your thoughts?

I think that is an awesome gift....I would love it. But it totally depends on the person. You know your sister I'm sure more than most, and would know if it's up her alley or not. I guess you would just have to consider, does she want her birthing experience to be private between herself and DP? Is she the type of person that is open to alternative birthing experiences?

She wants totally natural and wants a dula. I am trying to find one - hopefully she will like it!!

I would have loved to have gotten that as a gift (if I had been able to take that route with my pregnancy). I think you are doing a great thing by getting one for her considering you know that is the route that she wants to take!! I am sure she will LOVE it!!

I guess it is my biggest regret, so want to make sure she goes that route (though not forcing her ... )
