I found a great article on the 15 Life lessons that they didn't teach you in school and thought we could go through them one by one and discuss...
For reference/credit to the author and those of us who need to "jump ahead" here is a link to the article..
15 Life Lessons They Don't Teach You In School

Preface:
There is the type of education we get in school and there are life lessons we learn along the way. Both are important.

The only problem is that life moves us far along before we figure out what's going on and the wisdom we hope to have gained is sometimes late in coming.

To spare you some of the hard knocks and trial and error, here are some life lessons to help you along

Lesson #1
As Richard Carlson says, 'don't sweat the small stuff', and most of it is small stuff. Much of the time we get stressed and worked up over "stuff" that in the grand scheme of things really doesn't matter. When we allow ourselves get too caught up in it we ruin our perspective and don't take time to enjoy the moment.

I get stressed over the "condition" of my house.. I am a full time work outside of the home mom with a senior position in MIS at a bank.. I think the best advice that someone gave me at work was " Tina, before you stay at the office late again, think about it, it's a credit card. Nothing that you do here will prove life altering to anyone - it's important work to your customers, but I never heard of anyone who died because the data wasn't right for 12 hours. If you want that kind of stress, you should have become a pilot or an air traffic controller"

Now, I am outta there by 6:30 at the very latest -still a 10ish hour day - most days I'm home by 6.. no my house is not "company ready" - but it's better. And my kids - well they have me - and that's what's really important.

How do you sweat the small stuff?
