I am having horrible insomnia from the Lexapro I think. I have been having a lot of GI trouble as well. I want to give the Lexapro a chance but I'm thinking it may not be the RX for me. I have tried other RX and had side effects like severe constipation and bleeding, hunger and weight gain, etc... What else are ya'll taking for anxiety and panic... other than Xanax?

I am using King Bio Anxiety and Nervousness homeopathic. I also use Hylands Calms when its really bad during the day. At night I am taking Hylands Calms Sleep and Rescue Remedy Sleep, to help calm my mind. I have actually been sleeping the past several nights. No side effects from these.
I think the acupuncture is really helping.
I hope you get some relief.

MAV when do you take your Lexapro? AM or PM? Full or empty stomach? Do you take any other meds with GI side effects? Any GI meds? Sorry for asking all the questions...it's habit, I work in a medical clinic.
I find taking mine in the morning with breakfast helps with the side effects--but I also take Prevacid daily for GERD so that may take care of any GI issues caused by Lexapro. There is a ntural sleep aid called Calms Forte that can help with both the anxiety and insomnia.
I agree with Chanteuse about the accupuncture.
I hope you find some relief...the Lexapro sounded promising.
