Talked to gyn today. He and RE believe that I have a uterine adenomyoma thus making IVF impossible. They want me to get a 3D MRI to get absolute proof. He then said that I would need a hysterectomy. I am devastated. I am still trying to hang onto hope but it is very difficult right now. Please keep me in your prayers. My wonderful DH doesn't want to throw in the towel just yet.

Oh Chelyn! I am so sorry! I hope the MRI gives you better news. I so want the doctor to be wrong! Do you know when you will be able to have it done? I will definitely keep you in my prayers. Sending you big

Lilly, sorry that DH is going to be out of town. I hope you get rain soon! We were in a dry spell too but have had a little rain the last few days.
Winklehawk,
for you! Did the nurse give you any info on what the benefit of injectibles would be to trying injectibles? Sometimes they are looking for hormone levels, more follicles, etc. Also, do you have coverage for IVF? If not, it may be worth it to look into a few cycles of injectibles. Talk to the doctor so you can make a good decision. But it is a good idea to review the plan between 4-6 tx cycles.

Lilly - Sorry to hear that your DH has to travel and be away for your planned weekend activities. I'm glad to hear your DH is going to have an SA. Hopefully you'll be moving towards IUI and your BFP soon.
Chelyn - Sending you huge hugs! That news is devastating. I hope they find something on the 3D MRI to give you some hope. Are you going to get a second opinion?
Cel - Hope you are well.
AFM - They might recommend giving injectables a try to increase the number of follies. On most cycles of Femara, I've only had 1 follie though I've had 2 this time. The insurance is an issue. It covers $15K of IF treatment, which includes IUIs. It is difficult trying to decide how much of that I use on IUIs vs moving on to IVF which probably has a better chance of working. OTOH, IVF is so much more invasive that it seems dumb to not try injectables to see if they will do the trick.

Hello all

Its been a busy week back at work after being gone last w/e to the beach, ahhh, I decided in my previous life I must have been a sea-gull b/c that place was just heavenly, I could have stayed there forever !!! I drug with my TTC crap and unfortunately STILL have yet to O. Its CD15, not sure what's going on. Im beginning to wonder if being on the 5th round of Femara that my body has given up on trying to cooperate. We'll see, I'm just ready honestly to get this cycle over with & move on to the IUI cycle. And I'm feeling tired of thinking about this TTC stuff all the time ........ its draining !
Winklehawk ~ I hope you dont even have to move onto injects. Im really really really hoping this is it for you !!!! Will you just be waiting it out & see if AF shows or will you test ???
Chelyn ~ Soooo so sorry about the news you've recently gotton, gosh
I hate hearing that. Sending hugs & prayers your way. Do you have to get that 3D MRI scheduled or do you have a date set for that ??
Lilly ~ Did you decide to use up some of your monitor sticks or just skip it this month ?? I hope you get great results on your DH's next SA. My DH had some minor abnormal #'s so I'm a tad worried what it may look like when it comes time to doing our IUI, I sure hope his #'s didnt get worse!!! That one was done probably a year ago almost !!
Cel ~ Send some rain to the south, we are in a drought !!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks!

Thinking about you Chelyn.

Jen, would be happy to send some rain! We are supposed to get some more tonight. My dog hates storms so I hope it's just rain so we can get some sleep tonight! Sorry ov is taking so long. It is all very draining. Do you think the doctor will want to check DH's SA again before moving on to IUI?
Winklehawk, hopefully you won't have to make a tough decision about your next cycle. I hope this one is it for you! It stinks when you have to deal with insurance and finances as well as trying to figure out the write tx path to go on. I used to think sometimes that I just wasn't old enough to make those decisions!
Lilly, hoping for a great result on that SA!

Chelyn - I am so very sorry about your news.
I hope the 3D MRI has a different prognosis. I will be thinking of you and sending prayers your way.
Winklehawk - It's great that your insurance covers that much! That seems like a lot to me. I am hoping that this is your month and you don't have to even consider IVF.
Jen - Did you O? I'm glad you had such a nice time at the beach! That is my favorite place to be as well. I have lived on the coast since 1993 so I can't imagine not seeing the ocean or at least the waterway on a daily basis!
Cel - The Rain Gods finally opened up the flood gates today! We have gotten 7 inches in the past 12 hours and it's still coming down! I heard on the news that this is the 4th highest amount of rainfall for our region in weather recorded history - wow!!
AFM - I did decide to use the monitor this month. It is still on "high" which is great! DH comes home tomorrow and I imagine it will switch to "peak" in the morning. It will be a later O for me - funny how things work out like that sometimes.
I hope everyone has a nice week!!

The rain is still coming down here!! We are now at the 2nd highest recorded rainfall in history. It's really incredible!!
Cel - That pasta sauce sounds AMAZING!! It made my mouth water, lol!!
AFM - Yesterday I picked up DH from the airport. My monitor still read high as of yesterday morning. Well, since we had been apart for 10 days, we BD'ed 3x yesterday! This morning my monitor switched to peak which means I am O'ing today. I am so glad I used it this month! I thought we would miss it for sure but it worked out perfectly!
We leave for Cabo 1 week from today. I can't wait! I have been living at the gym and eating mainly almonds, cottage cheese and fruit for the past 3 weeks. I am fantasizing about the meals we will have now just as much as everything else! I will probably gain 10 pounds that week - lol!!
Happy Hump Day!
