The abx are no fun. You feel queasy but never really get sick and you still feel hungry though the thought of food is repulsive.

Yay tonight we do the HCG shot and I go in Friday morning at 7am for the egg retrieval. We are almost there.

Woohoo! How did the shot go? Good luck tomorrow morning! Can't wait to hear how your retrieval went!

Well the retrieval was yesterday. It went well. They got 34 eggs. Feeling good today. Still a little sore but feeling good. Just waiting for the call to let us know how the egg are doing today.

You go girl! 34! Have you heard anything yet?

Well of the 34 only 2 made it. The nurse said that there was a bonding problem with the other eggs. That we were lucky we got the 2 that did fertilize . We go Monday for the transfer. Then begins the 2 week wait. She is going to call me in the morning to let me know how they are doing and what time monday we have to go.

I know that must be disappointing. Did she explain what she meant by bonding problem?

It may not help but I will tell you a story about an old FT friend of mine. On her first IVF she had 21 eggs retrieved. 19 fertilized but only 1 made it to tsfr. She was able to get pg with her dtr from that one embie. So I will keep good thoughts for your 2 embies! Post after you hear from them.

Well we got our call this afternoon. 1 egg is dividing the way it should. The other had not divided yet but she said that it still may. So we still have our two as of this afternoon. When we go in tomorrow for the transfer we will know if #2 made it or not.

Well this morning was the transfer. We still have both of them. The rating for the slow egg was a c/d but the dr said that it could still take so he put it in with the other. Now the longest 2 weeks of our life begins. Now we just pray a lot and hope they decide to stick around.
