Hello everyone!
I'm Mandie 26 married to DH 29 since 8*18*08! We live in the metro Detroit area and just started to see the RE last month. I work at a Hospital in Detroit as a PCT on a Med/Surg floor. We are excited to really get this TTC going. I was dx with PCOS in 5/05 by Dr. Corella in Lansing. Since we were not married we just kind of put it on the back burner knowing that when we were ready we would have a problem.
I had my CD3 blood work done yesterday and have my HSG on monday 12/8. DH is doing his S/A in Jan, then we will have the talk.
Cant wait to get to know you all

Hi Mandie,
I'm Katherine and I'm 30 and Dh just turn 30 too. We have male factor and I'm waiting for my testing to start on the 15th to make sure I don't have any contributing factors. RE put us both on vitamins (pre-natal for me) and a baby asprin and folic acid regamin and DH is on clomid and is to have another SA in Jan to see if that helps any. We have been married for 3 years and TTC for 6. We always knew we would have to deal with DH's low count but we gave it awhile to see if it would just happen and of course it didn't...long story short, when we started to do something about it all hell broke loose in life and we had to put it off. Now things are looking good but we still have a way to go. We are going to relocate to Ohio (if your a college football person I realize this will make us mortal enemies...lol) for our treatments hopefully by Feb.
Anyway that was alot of blabbering on...sorry, I'm sure we will get to know each other more in the future (at least I hope so)....btw we are close in cycles to,today is CD 2 for me
...maybe we will be able to cycle together...
Anyway, i'm blabbering again, ok talk to you soon...
Katherine

Hi ladies! Welcome to FT! This is a great place for support and info, so I hope you'll explore the site! We do have PCOS board as well as a male factor board.
The great thing about FT is you will meet people from all over the world going through the same thing and you will make so many friends (even if you are football/basketball rivals, LOL, I'm in the Big 10 too though!
) .
BTW, this board has been very lucky for several ladies recently, so hoping that will continue to all of our newcomers!

BTW congrats on your marriage, did you have a big wedding? Ours was kind of medium. Well KUP on your appt and progress
Cel-You are absolutly right about all the boards, I've been a lurker just about everywhere hoping to aquire info on different things since i haven't been dx with anything yet (i hope i don't have any contributing, but it will be what it will be). My RE has thrown out things like possible endo and the more i hear about PCOS i wonder if i fit there but until they tell me i guess i have to just wait
Well DH will be back from the gym soon so i will talk to you guys later!!
Have good a good day and weekend if we don't talk sooner!!

I hope you dont have Endo or PCOS and just have male factor.
I would say we had a good size wedding. appx 110 ppl came and we danced the night away. The wedding was at 430 and reception started at 530 and ended at 11. It was so much fun!

That is awsome, we only had like 50-60 people and the wedding started at 4:30 and the reception started at like 6 (because our places were like 25 miles apart). But we had a blast, not alot of people stayed very long though but we had a blast anyway..lol

Yeah ours was all together. I think that is the best part. I love going to weddings where the bride and groom are having a blast. Just makes the whole party that much better!
OMG I just re-read your post and totally missed the Ohio thing. Which part of Ohio if you dont mind me asking. I am about an hr from Toledo. Best of luck on your move! Do you like snow?

I totaly agree about the bride and groom thing, if there not having fun it's kind of a bust...
LOL...that's funny, yeah we are actually moving to the eastern side in Belmot county which is like 20 min from Wheeling and about 45 min from Pittsburgh. The clinics out here (in Cali) are to sure of themselves I think. They will only monitor the first trimester if a pregnancy is achived and then your booted from the program (like cost sharing or the 3 for 1 etc..) but in Pittsburgh, if you don't deliver a live baby then you can continue your remaining cycles....that was HUGE to me cause it would crush me if we had a complication after 12 weeks and we paid all that money and had 2 cycles left and couldn't use them...
Yeah my hubby is from Ohio and he played for Ohio university. He would have gone to Penn state or Ohio State if it wasn't for his stupid dumb ex-wife. Course I probably never would have meet him if it didn't play out the way it did...lol
But he wants to get into the police department so we are basiclly selling everything we own to eliminate the size of the move and have money to move. Then he's going to apply out there and hopefully get in.
His current job is too economy driven and it's killing us right now.
I love the snow since here I only get to visit it...lol but we went back for a visit last year in April and it snowed, it was soooo beautiful (at least to me). We were driving one day and i was looking out the window and i saw a single snowflake (since we "make" our own snow), I just thought it was gorgous, My MIL thought that was just the cutest thing and proceeded to tell everyone she knew that visit that I saw my first snowfalke, I was soo embarassed. But I've always imagined myself in a part of the country that actually has seasons, it's just hot or cold here, mostly hot though. I love the clothes for snow but never have the need to buy or wear them here so that's a bonus...lol, although I won't be able to go on a shopping spree or anything but i have some stuff just from visiting to get me by. I did tell my hubby and the in-laws that it will take me awhile before i will drive in it...lol
The in-laws are funny though, they act like i might break or something in the snow.
Anyway I'm rambling again...lol
So do you like the snow or have any advise on how to deal with it?And i was wondering what a PCT is/does?

Hi Mandie! Congrats on your wedding, new job, and a recent move possibly? You sound incredibly busy! Sending positive thoughts and prayers for your upcoming testing.
