I am reading "A Few Good Eggs" right now and I LOVE IT! It is so perfectly written and makes you realize that you are not alone with the way you feel going through IF.

Good Book

I loved this book and HIGHLY recommend it ---

Expecting Miracles" by Christo Zouves -- told lots of different personal patient fertility stories and was very well written. I read it in 3-4 days, so interesting! It was published a few years ago but still very moving....

Great Book

I just finished "A Few Good Eggs" as well. Not only is it painfully true, it is also funny. It made me laugh and cry and think and worry and have hope, all in one sitting!

"I just had my 1st IVF cycle in June. For relaxation techniques I read Dr. Alice Domar's Conquering Infertility. Not only did it teach coping techniques, but she also included how patients often feel during treatment including peoples quotes/journal entries, and I would be crying as I read it thinking, "That is exactly how I feel."

book for Newbies

I just read Perfect Hormone Balance for fertility by Dr. Robert Greene. I learned a lot from it, but I think it would be best for people just starting the ttc journey. It suggests diet changes, supplements to be taken, and excersice (7 days a week cardio, 2-3 days strength, and 2 days of stretching/meditation) ugh--and I haven't really done too much since my last cycle of stimming! I liked that it is written by an RE and the advice is evidence based research. It also has many questionaires that help you discover your own fertility factors, and suggests that you are your own advocate when consulting with your RE/obgyn. The last chapter is about ART.
I am going to try to implement changes such as adding supplements, improving my diet and working out more as it suggested . . .we'll see if it helps.

Recently I've read 4 books....all of which were informative and helpful in different ways.

"Expecting Miracles" Christo Zouves

"The Infertility Companion" Sandra Glahn & William Curter

"Getting Pregnant" Niels Lauerson & Collette Couchez

"Unsung Lullabies" Janet Jaffe, Martha & David Diamond
