We had a good Christmas (Despite the fact I worked through it). My DH and I just had a quiet Christmas Morning when I got off of work, we both mentioned that it will be the last Christmas we have like this lol! Opened Presents and then I went to bed and he went BACK to bed. Work was slow - no Christmas babies born on night shift either night.
My appointment is next week - so no appointment this week.
I've FINALLY started feeling better as far as the nausea goes. I haven't felt extremely nauseated since Thursday (yay! *Knock on wood*). However, I feel more tired now then I did first trimester...what the heck?? All I want to do now is sleep - hard to do working 72 hours a week...maybe I should cut out a shift or two.......
I do also like boys names for girls - A friend of mine did name her baby Logan Elizabeth (she's 15 months now). Also have another friend who's DD is Elliott (I don't remember her middle name).
Bre: How has the cramping been? Been thinking about you - hope everything is going okay.

Cahowland- cramping is gone...for now, i think it must be growing pains. It's still nerve wracking though!
I dreamt last night that we were having a boy ( I always dream it's another girl!) we named him Kellen Brian?! Where did that come from?! I have no clue! But I like it! lol....now to run it by DH

Hi everyone, hope everyone had a nice Christmas! I have a question about using the doppler. I don't know how good my doppler is (I got it on ebay two years ago). Does this seem right? I find a heartbeat around the placenta in the same spot every time. It's about 1.5 to 2 inches below my navel on the left side. I can't detect it anywhere else. It sounds like a choo-choo train but the hb at the OB office sounded a little faster. I can't go by the hb number because I can tell that isn't right. It goes from 100-150, and is always a different number. I can tell where the placenta is because it sounds just like blowing wind. What do you all think?

Cahowland: DH and I had the same conversation about Christmas, though we can't wait for things to be crazy next year

Breezy: I like the name you dreamt, I had a dream a while back that we had a boy and had named it and for the life of me I could not remember what the name was when I woke up - drove me nuts!
My family is leaving tomorrow and DH's family is coming in on Wednesday. We had a good Christmas, except that I've started lightly spotting brown/light pink. Very light spotting but it's been going on for about 5 days now... very disconcerting. The Dr. did tell me I have some kind of cervix which bleeds easier after exercise or intercourse. Last Wednesday I had a prenatal massage and then went on a 1.5 mile walk with DH. I started spotting Thursday morning, so I wonder if that has to do with it, not making me feel better though! I think I'm going to call the OB's office tomorrow and see if what they say and hopefully talk them into giving me an u/s to check on the babies. I don't have my next u/s or Dr. appt. for another two weeks - such a long time to wait!
Hope everyone had a great Christmas! What does everyone have planned for New Years?Research study on frozen eggs, no embryos made it. 9/2010

Hi ladies! Just back from our Christmas weekend in Toronto and managed to avoid the blizzard coming home.
hope28 - I don't have a Doppler so unfortunately can't offer any advice.
We told DH's family that we're having a boy so everyone was thrilled. His sister is also expecting in April, plus we found out his younger brother and his wife are now expecting in August!!! So there will be 3 new babies in the family next year. Very excited for everyone. I go next Monday for my follow up and expect they'll schedule my fetal anatomy scan for the 2nd week of January. Can't wait to see our little guy again.Me: 38; DH: 42

I have a feeling you are getting mix between your heartbeat and the baby's heartbeat and the doppler is getting confused. The #'s your getting is it from READING the doppler or are you counting? I would adjust it so you hear the less wooshy sound (more of the thump thump thump) and look at the 2nd hand for 6 seconds count the louder thump for those 6 seconds and x's by 10. Try pushing the doppler in more and angling the doppler at different angles to see if it is clearer.

cahowland - I agree that I'm more tired now than in the first trimester. Glad I'm not the only one.
Jessica - hope the spotting has stopped. Definitely scary!
No real plans for New Years - we're going to make a nice dinner and just relax after the busy holidays.Me: 38; DH: 42

I'm still spotting, but the nurse assured me that it's nothing to worry about as it's actually fairly common (she said about 50% of pregnant women spot), she said it could still be a little bit left over blood from the subchorionic hemmorhage I had. Makes me feel better, but I'll be much happier after I see the babies again in 2 weeks!
Hope everyone is having a great Holiday season

Jessica, I am sorry that you are still spotting. even though the nurse said it is normal it still must not feel good.
hope, I don't have a doppler so I am no help.
hoping, I am so excited that you found out what you are having. I can't wait to find out what I am having.
cawland, I am glad your nausea has subsided. I am still having a episode once per day. I think mine is here to stay.
Bre, I like the name you had for a boy. That is a crazy dream. I had a dream the other night that we went to the ultrasound and the tech said it is a girl. And me and dh didn't believe her so we went back and had another one and it said it was a boy. I kept going and they kept saying boy.
AFM, I had a wonderful christmas. Got to spoil my dd as usual. I ate way way too much food but suprizingly only gained 2 pounds. I had to go to the doctors today because I have been having UTI symptoms. She said that I was only the tail end of the UTI ...I have been drinking cranberry juice non-stop for the past couple days. The baby's heartbeat was 155 and it was amazing to hear. The last time i heard it I was 11 weeks and it was so low..This time it was very loud.
