Hi Girls,
Just stumbled upon this group. I am also in the IVF/High Tech group. I found out I was pregnant on 10/16 after my first IVF cycle. My first beta was 56 at 15dpo. It seems so low compared to most of you ladies. I'm so worried. I go for my second beta tomorrow, 10/19. I've been having cramping on and off for the past week or so. No spotting yet. Andika, my EDD is 6/26/10. _______________________________ me-35 premature leutinazation dh- 35 no problems IVF#1 10/09- 12 follicles, 7 fertilized, 2 frozen, 2 transferred 10/16- BFP beta #1 56 Last edited by jennygee; 10-18-2009 at 10:31 AM. |

oops! thanks andika! i'm on pins and needles about tomorrow's beta! Thanks for the good luck wishes!! i noticed your first beta was on the low side...how did you not freak out? this is my first pregnancy and all I know is from reading other posts, which most girls first betas were 500+. ugh. after more searching, i have also seen that many low first betas are completely normal and produce healthy babies!! therefore, i will keep the faith and pray the number continues to double and triple and.....

my 1st beta was 13dpo-so super early, and wasnt my official 1st beta, it was because I have an umbilical hernia that was giving me problems and they needed to know for sure if I am pg or not , as I am pg I am not operable. and then my official 1st beta was 15dpo, and well a bit low at 63,but it doubled, RE said no its ok, but its just one baby. not twins. well we shall find out for sure thursday on the u/s. still hoping for a second bean in there!
go to www.betabase.info a great site, all the beta inof on there possible!! you will see that your beta is far from being the lowest, your beta is a normal beta, not low at all.

My first unofficial beta was 46 on 14dpo. They took it a day early because it was my birthday and they said I could come early. So I went again the next day, 15dpo, which should have been my real first beta. Just nervous that it only went up 10 in 24 hours. If it was doubling, it should gone up at least 23 and been closer to 69.

Welcome, Jenny!
Nala...I have already gotten the seasonal flu shot and am waiting for the H1N1 (hoping to get it when I go for my u/s). My RE suggests both for all of his patients. However, if you get the H1N1, make sure it's the shot and not the nasal mist. Back from vacay and trying to unpack and get ready for work tomorrow, but I couldn't resist checking in! More from me this week after I get caught up!

Welcome Jenny and congrats! This is my first also. I have had cramping through-out, but so far so good. I have read about cramping and it says it is your ligaments in or around the uterus stretching to make room for baby. I go Wednesday for my 1st u/s.

Andrea- Good to know about the cramping. I've had the worst cramps today! I've had cramps on and off for more than a week now. I keep getting nervous that its AF! How did you remain calm between betas? I think I'm more nervous for tomorrow's than I was for the first one! I'm so glad to have found this group! Thanks for welcoming me!
