It's all coming together!!!

I am soooooo excited...DH and DS are going to vacation to Disney World, leaving Thursday coming back the following Thursday (my idea! )...but I put my foot DOWN!!! I told DH he may not leave till certain things are done, so....

1.) We finished painting the baby's room on Saturday!!!! WAHOO

2.) We finished cleaning my bedroom this evening...and he moved the bassinet in!!!!!! Now, I just need to give it a good wipe down and wash the linens that go to it and it will be baby ready!!!

3.) The border should be coming in this week, and I can put that up myself (always do!)...it's going in the middle, right above the chair rail, so that's not a problem, no ladders required!!

4.) I'm going tomorrow to Target to purchase the rod for curtains for the window and the curtains should get here any day now...

5.) The furniture should be here this week or next!!!!

Jobs left before DH can leave

1.) hang the curtain rod

2.) move the glider in

3.) hang the chandelier (going above the glider)

I'm so excited...can you tell???? I was starting to stress from the fact they were leaving and the baby's room wasn't done...Not just that it wasn't done but that the furniture is due anytime now...they have the dresser hutch combo in, they were just waiting on the 6 drawer dresser I ordered...the store called on the 2nd and said, 2 weeks...so I was really nervous of it getting here while they are gone and the room not be ready for it. But that's not the case anymore!!!!!! Looks like it will be more than ready!

How is everyone else fairing???? I'll post pics when it's all done!!! Thanks for listening!!!

You are SMART to get things done before you vaca. Sometimes DHes need a little push; they call it nagging, but NOTHING WOULD EVER GET DONE (in time) otherwise! We're almost all ready too. This time I did a lot of the little stuff myself instead of waiting for DH; like hanging new shelves and the curtain rod. I learned to use the power drill and lots of other tools; yipee. Of course, DH has to do the heavy stuff.

we weren't ready with DS; of course, he can 6.1 wks early and I was hospitalized 7 wks before he was due; but regardless of the early birth, being "un-ready" was part of my stress when we came home (even though a baby REALLy needs VERY LITTLE and most of the stuff was more MY NEEDS, like having the cute room ready for visitors; yet, it still is a stress if it is something you want). so anyway. WAY TO GO GIRL. Can't wait to hear more about the finished room and HAVE A GREAT VACATION!

Oh Lisa,
You are making me nervous!!! We still have to paint the baby's room, put trim up, put down carpet, get the heat and lights hooked up in there AND decorate!!! I am stresing out so much about this and I swear dh thinks we still have about 7 mos left!!!!! I am glad that you are making so much progress!! Trust me if we were I would feel a ton better. Umm....maybe you could send your dh over here after and he could give my dh a kick in the butt to get him moving!!!
Anyway, can't wait to see pics of the finshed product. I will post pics of mine if it actually gets done before my little girl goes to college!!! lol
