Is this common?

I thought I was having some kind of phantom kicks the last few days as I had been feeling some flutters up above my belly button. I had read that your fundal hieght is supposed to reach your belly button at 20 weeks which I am now at. Yesterday at my appointment, I am measuring about 2 inches above my belly button. She puts a pen mark on the spot each time and I am like a child with a new front tooth, showing it off to everyone.
But I am now wondering if this is common. The baby is measuring on target.

I think its normal. The books are a "general "idea, we dont come off assembly lines so everyone will not fit into that"general" idea rule. I wouldnt worry about it . I am well above the belly button too, this is my second baby and the uterus is already stretched so to speak. I am glad to hear all is well.

You're probably just carrying your baby a bit higher. I am the same way. It's totally normal!!!

The karate chops are the coolest thing. Wait till you're 35 weeks....it'll feel like you are getting kicked in the neck!!
