Business trip...yikes.

So on Sunday I'm heading to Chicago for a 3 day business trip. This will be the first time I've left Addie for any period of time longer than the work day...and the very first overnight away. On the one hand I am looking forward to a little alone time on Sunday to do some shopping before my work meeting/dinner, but I know I'm going to miss her SO much. I almost can't even think too much about it...

Anyway, hopefully she and her dad do just great (this will be a big transition for my dh as well because he works 7-7 most days and doesn't do the morning routine ever) and they'll have a good couple of days on bonding. Fingers crossed!

It's so quiet on here these days. I know I barely have time to come up for air so I'm sure others are feeling the same. Hope everyone is doing well. Wish me luck for this upcoming week!

I know what you mean about the board being quiet. I haven't been here in a few days. I have been trying to get out with Ava as much as possible in this beautiful weather since June was a complete washout here in New England. I'll be back more often once the weather starts to turn!!!

I'd love to say Eli and I have been out and about but it's been in the triple digits in lovely Southern California so all of our time has been spent indoors. I am anxiously awaiting fall so we can actually visit a park or two!

Good luck on the trip. Update us when you return. I have a different situation, DH was laid off and is now at home with Katie. I have to bite my tough at times...but had to speak up when he gave her a double cheese burger and french fries for lunch 2 days last week! She is only 14 months and not that big of a girl and needs fruits and veggies ... and well it was a double cheese burger???
I try to suggest things and how they might be done ;-) I am trying to be patient.

Meant to come back here a little earlier and update but the week was busy! Trip went just fine and Addie and her Daddy did awesome - I know my DH loved spending more time with her, and not just "task" oriented time. Normally he's home for the busy, "let's get her fed, bathed, and to bed" time, so I know he loved just having some chill out time He also kept taking pics on his iPhone and sending them to me, just of random things they did during the days, and that helped me a ton!
Definitely missed them both a lot, and Addie was happy to have her mommy home. She's been a little more cranky this week, and pretty much freaks out when I leave the room without her. All part of it, and part of this age. But it is nice to be missed
