nt scan update and possible gender update :)

little one was rather uncooperative...lol. kept moving and getting in a not good position to get a good measurement. here are what they have:
head circ: 14wks1day
abdom circ : 14wks 2 days
crown rump length: 14wks4days
femur length:13wks4days


nt measurement (averages over 4 measurements): 1.85mm

so baby is on track, growing appropriately and the nt is well within normal range. so a slight sigh of relief for now i will get the full detailed report in 5-7 days with my adjusted calculated risk based on blood work they also took today.

and now for the gender report.....

well when asked (the tech said she did take a peek ) she said (exact words here) that she "did not see any boy parts" and that a majority of boys at this stage will show some development of boy parts but that is not all of cases. we did see them at this stage with declan..however they were very tiny. so she said if she had to guess she would guess girl, she said she would say about 70% of having a girl but not to run out and buy anything pink and frilly yet until the final determination at 20 wks

Congrats on the great appointment!

My pregnant SIL is an ultrasound tech (lucky duck can scan herself whenever she wants!). She's pretty sure she's been able to see those "little boy parts" since she was about 11 weeks (she's 15 weeks now). However, she's still being cautious and not buying blue until after someone else does her 20 week scan.

It's soooo neat they can tell the sex that early!
