We don't have his checkup until July, but I'll respond with what I think.

Child's name: Charlie

Birthday: July 6, 2006

Current weight/percentile: He has always been hanging on the 50%

Birthweight: 6lb 5oz

Current length/percentile: I'm guessing about 50% for that also

Birth length: 20.5inches (?)

Latest achievements: He is pretty speech delayed, but has recently started really trying hard to repeat words. Yay, I finally feel like we are making progress!!

Reasons I make Mommy laugh: I have really been trying to get him to cut down on the whining/crying so, when he is doing it, I have been telling him that he 'needs to talk nice' and if he continues with the crying, I tell him that he 'needs to sit down until he is done crying'. It cracks me up because he totally does it. After a few seconds of him sitting on the floor crying, I'll ask him if he is finished and he shakes his little head 'yes' and then he'll get up and be done with it. It is so funny!!

I'm looking forward to hearing what everyone else's kids are up to.

We don't have our 2-year check up until August 18!! Be sure to look for an update from me then.

Kel, I love that you can actually get your little guy to stop crying. That rarely works with us.

LOL!! I'm sure it won't last forever. Every time I use it, I feel like I am pushing my luck. But, hey, it's still working, I might as well take advantage while I can.

Child's name: Alexis, Morgan & Kamryn

Birthday: June 15, 2006

Current weight/percentile: A: 25.1 lbs., 20%-ile. M: 33.8 lbs., 100%-ile, K: 29.3 lbs., 80%-ile.

Birthweight: A: 4.5 lbs., M: 5.15 lbs., K: 5.11 lbs.

Current length/percentile: A: 34 inches, 50%-ile. M: 37 inches, 100%-ile, K: 36 1/2, 90%-ile.

Birth length: A: 16 inches, M: 17 inches, K: 18 inches.

Latest achievements: Talking up a storm, mastering spoon/fork feedings (finally!) learning our alphabets. Telling people we are two and holding up the appropriate amount of fingers. Kamryn is also starting to pee-pee on the potty occasionally.

Reasons I make Mommy laugh: Barking/meowing at one another in bed at night and at nap times. Kamryn when she says "What's up hom-o". It's her version of what's up homey.

Alexis when she tries to squeeze out a tear during one of her tantrums...it's a riot!

Morgan when she gives hugs and loves to her sisters when they are angry or upset. She's such a sweetie!

They make me laugh everyday and I am so thankful to be their mommy!

Child's name: Margaret Claire--but almost always called Molly

Birthday: July 28

Current weight/percentile: 25 lbs, 25th percentile

Birthweight: 6 lbs, 15 oz

Current length/percentile: 33 inches, around 45th percentile

Birth length: 21 inches

Latest achievements: quoting poetry...seriously. We credit Baby Shakespeare for this, although she also has learned little bits of a few poems that I taught her as well. I'm such a poetry fan that I get so excited whenever she does this! Other achievements include occasionally using the potty, using spoon and fork to feed herself, recognizing her name when it's written, and throwing a really dramatic temper tantrum.

Reasons I make Mommy laugh: Molly loves to play hide and seek, but is a little unclear on the concept of the game. When it's her turn to hide, she covers her eyes and staggers off to find a place to hide!

Sam finally had his 2-year check-up and here are his stats!

Child's name: Samuel William (Answers to Sam, Sammers, etc..)

Birthday: July 23

Current weight/percentile: 33 pounds, 2 oz (94th percentile)

Birthweight: 7 pounds, 14 oz

Current length/percentile: 35 inches (64th percentile)

Birth length: 19.5 inches

Latest achievements: Talking up a storm, playing independently from Mommy

Reasons I make Mommy laugh: He says the funniest things! He loves to help with the laundry because our new front loaders have all sorts of neat buttons. He'll help me load everything in, then start it up (he is very good about leaving the buttons alone if I'm not in there). While he works, he talks to himself. "Please! Thank you! You're welcome!" He's very polite!

He is such a sweet, happy child. We call him Mr. Sunshine.
