Update on the missing thread! (bad news!)

Ok Guys, here is what happened, I emailed Dave at FT and this is what he said. I emailed him back and am waiting a response.

I'm sorry. It was pruned.
We prune messages that are older than 90 days.
What I can do in the future is only prune threads with messages that have
been added to them that are older than 90 days.
This way if someone post to a thread at least every 90 days the whole thread
won't get deleted.

Oh no!!!!!! I don't understand...this thread was very active and new messages added to it every single day. It was active every
day and it still got pruned? Do you have a back up on your server? I can save it to a file at least, I dont mind the thread being
pruned, just the information that we need on it...please please please is there something you can do?

OK, that SUCKS!!!! How can they just do that...our thread went maybe 3 days at most w/out anyone posting!!! It'd be nice if they let you know that they are going to do that!!!! Let us know what Dave says.

Hi Dave

I really don't understand, on the Australia one there are tons of threads older than 90 days, those are not pruned.

Do you have our messages saved on your server somewhere? We are really p'd off that our 100's of messages were deleted without any warning! It would have been nice if you have contacted the person who started the thread (me!) at least to let them know it was going to be pruned. Now we have a lot of information just deleted like it didn't mean anything and what a waste of time that was.

It is really difficult explaining our pruning process. It is neccessary to prune message periodically because we get a lot of traffic.

I will see if I can find some older messages but it will take a little while to do it. I need to do some site maintenance.

I hope they can find it too! I keep forgetting who's doing what. Although as everyone is getting closer I am able to catch up with the news.
