Finally checking in...it's been a while! My little boy is now 8 weeks and goes in for his 2 month check up next monday, the day I also go back to work and he starts day care...booo!!!

I am so in love with my baby! He sleeps so great in his bassinet at night, sometimes 6+ hrs, 8 one night...of course I thought something was wrong. I still nurse but also give him about 1 bottle of formula almost every day cause he still falls asleep while bfing. He continues to have a crazy get to sleep routine during the day so I'm trying to swadle him more in the day when I only used to at night, that helps. My older 2 adopted boys are so great with baby, always wanting to hold him, get him out of the car and play with him.

I'm still using the diapers I got from my showers, now in size 1 and haven't had to buy any diapers or formula yet. He has outgrown his newborn clothes and is now in size 0-3. He is a doll and we are having so much fun with him...I've already got him spoiled for the day care provider!

Hope you're all doing great and babies are well!

    Monica:

I SO do not want to go back to work! I am dreading it. I will probably cry

I DID cry when my son got his 8 week shots. I felt like a monster holding him while someone hurt him. He was very crabby for the rest of that day and the next day, but he's back to his smiley little self now.

Hope everyone else is doing well!!!

    Poison - So cute!!!

Monica - So great the kids are loving the baby! Sorry work is fast approaching.

CM - Hope you've had some better nights since your last post.

AFM - Dilan is doing well. He had his 2 month shots today. Awe! He seems fine but may have a teeny fever. I will keep an eye on it. He is sleeping 6-8 hours in a swaddle in his bassinet! Only thing is he seems like he is going to wake up every half hour or so but doesn't fully so I am still not getting much sleep. I am debating waking him during one of these periods and feeding him but can't decide. By the time I get up he settles down. He never fully wakes up. He is a difficult daytime napper though. All else is good! He is a talker and I am really starting to have fun with him.

    Hope EOE is well!

11lbs. today and 23.5 inches! My boy is doing great, not pooping much though for the last couple weeks. Ped said for me to eat more fiber. I'm back at work today, plllbbbttt!!! DH dropped LO off at daycare for his 1st day today so I got off the hook with no tears He only cried for a few seconds after his shots so hopefully he'll do ok today. I miss him already <3

I upload pics to photobucket and then insert the link into the post. It's pretty quick.

Dilan is SO cute, Scuba!!! I love the hair!!! So handsome!

Monica: my little one had problems with constipation and my pediatrician recommended Karo syrup...it worked great! I hope he is feeling better.

I hope everyone else is doing well. I go back to work on Tuesday and I am SO dreading leaving him. I was even thinking of opening a daycare in the home so I could just stay here, but after babysitting for my cousin's baby on top of my own the past couple of nights, work is looking a little nicer.

Anyone out there?? Hi to anyone whose reading!

Dilan is great. Although he is recovering from his first cold! Aw! I have been pretty good about not taking him to public places but we went to a free Mommy and me class last week and what do you know he came down with a fever two days later . His sinuses have been real congested but he is clearing up. He seemed fine through all this it was me who was a mess! Ha! On a happier note he rolled from tummy to back on his own today. But only after I did it for him a few times first! I also got an extension in my maternity leave. I don't go back to work until the end if July! Ya!

Hope you are all well! Miss you guys!

That's great that you have so much more time with the baby! My little guy has been rolling over from his tummy to back and once he even made it from his back to his tummy! I can't believe how fast this time has gone!!

Dilan is SO cute! I will have to upload some recent pics when I get home.

    Hugz!!!

To EOE I hope all is well

    Hi ladies!

I was wondering if anyone wanted to start a thread in the playgroups under parenting? I wasn't sure how to do it and I couldn't figure out who the BC is.

    Scuba--Dilan is adorable!

I hope everyone and their LOs are doing great!!

We are doing fantastic. We had a 4 month checkup yesterday. L is in the 75%tile for weight, 95%tile for length and head size. She is smiling and cooing and gooing and giggling. She hasn't rolled over yet, but we are still working on that. She did start a high pitched squeal that I could just do without! Overall, she is a very happy baby. She wakes up smiling and talking to herself. I quit my job and now I am a SAHM. Yea!!

I hope to hear from everyone and anyone. Maybe we can get this thread moving again??

I'd like to stay in touch too but I'm not sure how to start a playgroup. PI and Scuba, your LOs are so adorable!

TM-I am happy to hear things are going well and I really wish I could be a SAHM. Your little girl sounds adorable! My guy seems to always have sinus issues since he started daycare. He's had 3 bad colds and caught a really nasty virus which gave him the runs and a fever. Dh and I had to take turns staying home w/him last month. I am really looking forward to summer vacation starting next month so I can stay home w/him and give his little system a break from fighting the nonstop onslaught of germs. I felt so bad b/c I went to get him out of his crib yesterday and his nose was a runny mess and his eyes were half glued w/gunk, yet he greeted me w/a huge smile.
