Scuba- I started using my baby bjorn when Amelia was 3 or 4 weeks. It works for us but if you wrap is working for now and is comfortable for you then I see no reason to switch although if you feel the baby bjorn would work better I also see no reason not to give it a try. All three of my girls absolutely loved being carried around in the BB and I find it quite comfortable but not really useful if you are trying to prepare a meal or something because the baby is totally in the way. Sounds like your little guy is a good baby! I have to be honest I never discussed sleeping arrangements with this pedi I'm not sure what she would say about having Amelia sleep in the swing but with my first pedi (we moved so had to change) I talked to him about it since we were having sleeping issues. DD #1 would NOT sleep on her back but slept wonderfully on her stomach and he confided in me that for one of his kids they had the same issue and let him sleep on his stomach even though we've all been told a thousand times back is best. I guess for me if it means my baby is well rested and happy then I don't mind pushing the envelope some but I could never bring myself to let DD #1 sleep on her stomach so that is how we ended up using the swing and its worked like a charm for all three of mine.

We had an interesting week, a few HORRIBLE days and some really good days all mixed together. Hopefully we'll be trending towards more and more good days. Gas continues to be an issue but since I'm bfing there really isn't much I can do but give it time. We tried to give Amelia a couple of bottles last weekend and she was not impressed. I think I need to start giving her some bottles regularly so we keep that option open. Wow what a change from my first two who I was unable to establish bfing with. Hope everyone is well.

    Hi ladies! Just checking in..

CM - Man, my kiddo loves her swing and bouncer. I have to force my self to put her in her bassinet on her back instead of letting her sit slightly inclined in either other place. We switched bottles from the Drop-ins to the VentAire and have seem a dramatic difference in the amount of gas she has (and the amount of gas she complains about!). I'm exclusively pumping and am hating every moment of it.. It'd be so much easier to mix up some formula but I know the benefits of the breastmilk outweigh my discomfort in pumping. It's just such a hassle.. every 3-4 hours I'm hooked up to "Patty" the pump for 20+ minutes unable to do anything else! Sigh.. At least I'm saving on formula expenses?

I also wanted to drop by and say hi to everyone. I started back to work last week and I've been struggling with the balancing act. I will try to post this weekend. Everyone has been in my thoughts and I hope everyone is getting more sleep.

Too cute! If she likes the soothie pacifiers, you should check out wubbanub pacifiers (can get them on amazon, diapers.com, babyhaven.com). My little guy loves them, and they are much easier to find in the middle of the night. My little guy was in the hospital this past week, and more nurses commented on them, and wanted to get them for their kids/grandkids. lol

Mrsb88 - she is beautiful! I love the look on her face in the 2nd picture.

My little guy got RSV again, and had to be on oxygen. He was born 4 weeks early, and got RSV when he was only 3 weeks old, spent a week in the ICU that time, and has had resipratory issues ever since. He started getting sick last Sunday and progressively got worse to the point they had to admit him. He is home now, and doing better.

alwyne- Awe what a cutie!!! I pumped for my first 2 and found it was a lot of work too. I only lasted 6-8 weeks though because my supply kept going down and it just wasn't worth it anymore. I'm not sure if I'm really saving $ because I'm so hungry all the time and I'm going through so many more diapers with this one! BM really does make them pooh a lot more often so I figure whatever I'm saving on formula I'm spending on diapers and wipes, LOL.

DMS- I hope your little guy is ok and he wasn't in hosp for anything serious.

MrsB- Awe she looks like a little doll. Love, love, love those chubby cheeks!

Wow we had a rough go over the weekend. Just when I thought things might be coming together the wheels completely fell off. I'm hoping it was just a growth spurt and because I wasn't as careful with what I was eating. My first two had a sensitivity to the protein in cows milk which caused an extreme amount of gas, reflux, and mega screamfests so I cut dairy out of my diet just in case for this one. I haven't been quite so careful lately and it may also explain our rotten last few days. Needless to say I've been much more careful about what I've eaten the last couple of days.
