Congrats mrsb!!! I am also planning on breast feeding. Some have it easier than others from what I hear but if you are dedicated and stick with it it usually works out. I am also planning on pumping when I go back to work. We will see how it goes!

Congrats TM and mrsb!
CM, special, scuba and Monica-- still right there with ya. OB appt showed no change from last week (1cm and 75% effaced). She did say she thought it looked like she had dropped even lower though. We won't talk induction until next week (if I get passed my due date) and as long as both me and baby are still looking good, we wouldn't look to induce before 1/30. I'm ok with that. As anxious as I am for her to get here, I'd rather she and my body call the shots on when! This waiting thing is getting harder though! I had some more back pain and what might have been some contractions during the night, but nothing all day now!

Congrats Mrsb!!!!!!
It seems that more hospitals offer lactaction specialist who will work w/you while you are in the hosp and after you are discharged, so it might be worth asking about. That was a service my hospital offered.Me(38)

Scuba- Progress is progress. I know what you mean though, people keep saying to me any day now but here I am still hugely pregnant and extremely uncomfortable!!!!
Monica- You just never know, things can change so quickly! You could end up going before all of us that are already dilating. You seem to be handling the wait very well though.
Mrsb- Congrats!!! I was wondering what was going on with you! That was one of the biggest surprises for me too when I had my first was how difficult bfing can be. I had problems with both of my first two and am hoping 3rd time will be the charm.
chng- You are handling these last few weeks so much better than I am!!! The only reason we will be setting an induction date is because I have gestational diabetes and there is concern the baby will get REALLY big. I didn't have it for my first two and there was no discussion of it either. Like I said to Monica, things can change very quickly.
Yay, my next OB appt is tomorrow!!! I'm feeling much more impatient then many of the rest of you ladies still waiting. I just feel so rotten and uncomfortable and am ready to get this baby out and move on to the next stage. It will be interesting to see if I've made more progress or if I am still at around 3-4 cm. I'm sure my OB will do a stretch and sweep again tomorrow, and he told me we would also set an induction date and I will certainly be holding him to that. But based on past experience I think there is a good chance the stretch and sweep will work in the next couple of days. I guess we'll just have to wait and see. Ugh more waiting!!!

Heya ladies!
Hanging in there at 37+3. Went to L&D last night because I hadn't felt kiddo move in about 12 hours.. (I did a 1 hr kick count, nothing.. drank juice/ate some apple slices...no kicks...Ahh!) They hooked me up to all the machines and I heard her wonderful heartbeat (yay!). My BP was elevated (nerves!) but settled down after I knew she was alright. The on-call OB came by and did an ultrasound to check on her fluid levels (9.9?).. He said anything between 5-25 was fine.. so I'm a little worried about her fluid getting low!
Deep breath. All is well. Just ready for her to be here, just like so many of you that are still waiting!
(At my last OB appt, I found out my cervix is still super high, but dilated about 1cm.)

CM--sorry you are so uncomfortable! Good luck at OB today--hope your induction date is soon! I don't have GD, but have become increasingly worried about how big this baby has gotten. I had an u/s at 36 weeks and she was measuring ahead. I know those measurements can be off by a couple pounds either way, but I never thought I'd make it all the way to 40 weeks. I hope she fits coming out and decides to come out soon!!
BC-a--glad that everything checked out. I also get nervouse when I don't feel alot of movement. Half the time it's because I was at work and forgot to notice. Lately, it's hard not to notice when she moves though because she's running out of room and every movement causes a bit of discomfort. Also, when she gets moving now, she doesn't want to stop! She'll finally settle down and DH will come along and wake her back up again (hope he doesn't think he'll be doing that once she's on the outside!
)
PI--I think we made it too comfy for these babies that they don't want to come out!! Crossing fingers your baby decides to make an appearance before Sat, but glad you have a date in case that doesn't happen!
AFM: no noticeable contractions last night or anything! Come on baby, time to come out!!

alwyne- I'm sorry you had that scare to deal with. I was on a board with another woman who had fluid level issues throughout her pregnancy and she was actually able to get her fluid levels up by drinking lots and lots of water. It sounds like your levels aren't technically low but maybe trying to drink some extra water each day will bring them up a little more and put your mind more at ease. I tell you the worrying never ends for a mom, if its not one thing its another.
PI- Sounds like baby is happy and snug inside which is nice to hear on the one hand but YAY for an induction date!!!
chng- Thanks! Both my other girls basically went to term so I've been expecting it this time around as well. I hope your little girl decides to come soon, I know how hard these last few weeks and especially the last few days become.
So it seems I have my OB all figured out, LOL. I am about 4 cm dilated and he did the sweep again, much more aggressively this time I think because it certainly hurt more. He's hoping that will get this little girl to come on her own but if not he is doing deliveries Monday so my induction is set for Monday. I'm having lots of contractions especially when standing or walking but I know that doesn't necessarily mean anything because it could all settle back down again like it did last week. I figure I'll either have this baby in the next couple of days if the sweep works or on Monday. Either way at least now I know the end is in sight and I just have to hang in there for a few more days.

Awlyne - So sorry for the scare. I obsess about this baby's movements. I keep telling my husband that I can wait until he shares some responsibility for his well being

Poison - Yay for induction date! So exciting to have a tangible end in sight! I hope all goes well!
Chng - Hang in there. We are in the home stretch. I know for some women it happens all at once.
Sthang - How are you and baby??? Congrats!!!
CM - Glad you got a date! So exciting. My Dr hasn't even brought it up. Great you have an end in sight! 4cm is pretty good though. Maybe you will go before that?
Monica - thinking of you too. I wonder who will be the last to deliver? I think you and me have some of the last EDDs. We'll see!
AFM - I feel so lucky to be feeling relatively good. Going to work is getting annoying though. I am winding down my work so it is getting more boring. Also people keep commenting on my belly and the fact that I am still there EVERY time I see them. These are people that wouldn't even smile at me in the hallways before I was pregnant! Crazy. I am so excited for everyone I can't stand it!! I want to see more pictures too!Me: 34 Unexplained/Low AMH/Elevated FSH
