The Flu

Rianna came down with the flu Wednesday...temps in the 101/102 with tylenol! She was one sick little girl...took her to the doc and they gave her tamaflu...she started it yesterday and is now 75% better....they do not know if it was seasonal or h1n1....either way they treat it the same way. It was a rough few days....hopefully tonight she will sleep better tonight....

Poor sweetie! Cheyenne had it (regular flu of course!) last year and it was AWFUL.

Hope she feels better soon!

Glad the tamiflu kicked in so quickly. Btw...here they are saying the pretty much all the flu cases are H1N1 right now. They are just bracing themselves for the seasonal flu. I can't believe they don't even have the H1N1 vac available for those that want it. Makes me really upset. I have this feeling by the time those that want it, it's not needed anymore. GRRRRR

Sorry for the vent. Just really ticked off that kids like Rianna are getting sick when there is a vac out there - in case you wanted to have her immunized.

I plan to have her immunized since she has a history of bronchitis and pneumonia... however it won't be available until mid Nov and we will be on our way to the states by then. So I am not sure when I will be able to get it for her.

Over here in the Germany the seasonal flu has supposedly started so it could be either one...

She is doing much better and will be able to go trick or treating tonight!

Thanks for all the kind thoughts guys.....

Glad to hear she's feeling better & got to trick or treat. The flu has been pretty bad around here, but I hard on the news that they think it has peaked here this season. I find that hard to believe since it's only the end of October.
