    Girls' room ideas (dark furniture)

I like Target prices so I am starting there. It won't be for awhile as Lindsay still fits in her crib. Maybe Christmas? I need to get motivated and sell it on CL in order to get her a headboard. I think we'll just give her the guest bed that hardly gets used but with a new headboard. Then maybe get a futon for the guest room.

What do you think about this? What color would you paint the walls?

oooh, it's so pretty and feminine. I love brown and pink together these days with some light cream mixed in.

My favorite color is green. I think a very mild, pale green (water color / pastel type) would go nice. (I'm so not a pink person though!)

ETA: I also think it would compliment the dark furniture.

I really like that. So pretty. In order to make the transition easier when we converted their cribs to toddler beds, we let the girls pick their bedding. They each picked 2 sets and they wanted the same. Disney Princesses & Cars. I'm hoping that once we switch to regular beds, they'll pick something like what you've chosen.

That's beautiful. I agree that a light green would be beautiful especially if the furniture is already a dark color.

I have a small quilt given to DD by my mom and it has green in it so I may be on the lookout for such a quilt in the full size. A light green would look so nice, but does anyone want to come paint? The crazy teenager painted this room trim and all, including the closet doors, LIME green and BRIGHT blue. It will probably take 2 coats of primer, AT LEAST LOL. We are not looking forward to doing it, but surely a painter would either run or charge an extreme amount.

    Thanks everyone!

I, also, think light green would be pretty or just a nice cream.

I was going to suggest the same thing light green is such a fresh color especially with the dark furniture.

I saw this in the store today and much prefer the shabby chic kids line. It's so soft! Now I'm worried about the carpet - it's med. gray and old, but we're bleeding cash at the moment on toilets, the yard, new washer and dryer, tires, etc. I do not know if there is hardwood underneath but I do not think so - the past homeowners would have uncovered it.

Beautiful bedding! I agree that a sage green would be nice on the walls!

As for your floors, what about a large area rug?
