    Sydney's baby

We were getting ready to go for a walk yesterday afternoon. Sydney wanted to bring one of her bitty babies (Haley and Bailey) in its stroller. DH asked her to leave the stroller behind, but told her that she could bring her baby in her arms. As we were walking out the front door, Sydney looked at her doll straight in the eyes and said, "Do you want to go outside, baby?" We cracked up. She's really starting to get interested in the dolls. She will tell them it's time to eat and put them in their highchair. She will tell them it's time to nap and put them in their crib and ALWAYS with a blankie over them. It's really cute and I'm so proud of her mothering skills.

Aw . . . that's so sweet. My girls are pretty good with their babies. But sometimes, they shake them & say "shake, shake, shake", then drop her & say "uh oh baby doll." I guess we've got a ways to go on their mothering skills.

Now, that is funny! Haven't you had moments where you felt like shaking them, but knew better than to do it??!!!!

Absolutely adorable!!! And I agree w/ Tru - I've got some serious little girl envy right now!!!! D&D want nothing to do with dolls. They really don't even seem to play with stuffed animals very much at all.
