Monica-Oh my goodness, you're little guy is so adorable!
TM-How is your LO's appt go? I hope she is feeling better.
AFM-Today's lesson learned is: Don't feed your baby his rice cereal 20 minutes later than normal (even though daycare fed him a bottle 2 hrs earlier) b/c he KNOWS that's not the usual time for the whole the mommy and me routine. He made sure he voiced his objections for the entire neighborhood to hear! It seems both he and my cat can tell time! lol!Me(38)

Monica - I don't remember that either. I always check the board with an app on my phone so I don't see signatures. Cool!!
VQ - Isn't it amazing how smart they are! They love their routines! I am especially happy mine has his nighttime routine. He goes to bed at 9 and I am up at 3 and 6 then he is up for good at 830-9. Like clockwork!
? - Dilan has just started to refuse a bottle. We only gave him one of my milk once a week at best. Now he won't take one at all! Anybody go through this? Advice?Me: 34 Unexplained/Low AMH/Elevated FSH

She did it! My little girl rolled over from tummy to back! Yea! I was worried that it might be a negative experience for her. I thought for sure it would scare her and she would bang her head on the floor. But, no, it happened in slow motion and she had a graceful landing : ) I'm not even sure she knew it happened, except for all of the applauding and cheering I was doing!
VQ---- my LO has a lil fluid behind one ear, the opposite ear that I thought there was an infection in. I think the Dr. was surprised that she was even reacting to it since there was only a lil bit. She started her on antibiotics anyway. She is sooo cute when it is time to take her medicine. She makes faces at the taste of the medicine, but continues to open her mouth for more when I get the syringe near her lips.
Scuba---are you still breastfeeding? and also bottle feeding? I have read that when trying to introduce a bottle to a breast fed baby that someone else should do the feeding until the baby is used to the bottle. If mom does the feeding, the baby wants the breast and will refuse the bottle. I'm not sure if this helps or not. I've had the opposite happen. My lil girl has started to refuse my breast. Once she starting sleeping thru the night, my supply declined of course, and there wasn't much to begin with anyway. I had to start pumping to get my supply back up, and now with her ear infection she hasn't wanted to lay on her side to nurse. I'm hoping she will start nursing again when she feels better.
To anyone who is BFing----are you experiencing joint pain? I started to get knee pain when I was in my 3rd trimester. I thought it was related to the extra weight I was carrying. Alas, my pain still continues. I'm hoping it is only hormonal : / and will disappear when I stop BFing. I am really starting to feel like I am old! I never used to feel old until now.Us: 42 yrs old (I know!)

Hello everyone! It's so great to see all of you again

Congrats 2 mommies on LO rolling over! It is so exciting. The first time my little guy rolled over back to tummy I missed it. I laid him on the floor under his floor gym and went in the kitchen to clean up and came back to him being on his tummy! Hope her ear is feeling better.Last edited by Poison_Ivy; 05-11-2012 at 08:12 AM.

Yay in so many of us staying in touch!
VQ-Real food! How exciting!
Monica - Your avatar pick is sooo cute!
2 Mommies - I am exclusively BF. I have been pumping and having DH give a bottle once a week or so for quite a few weeks now. But just this week he has been refusing. It stinks because I have been able to get some more sleep or go out with my friends. He will start day care in July so we have a little while to practice. I also read that I shouldn't do it so I haven't. We shall see!
Hi poison!
Dilan doesn't really roll over
I am sort of getting worried. He did it once but I sort of cheated and tucked his elbows in. He doesn't really do a push up either. He has hit other milestones. He holds his head up really well. So well I can carry him face out in a Bjorn. He also grabs at things and puts them in his mouth. And just yesterday he started grabbing his toes. So cute! He is also laughing now. But I want the elusive roll!!!!

Barge - scuba : have you looked at the calma teats by medela? It mimics the way they feed on the breast, it has worked for me but not everyone. Aaron went bottle to boob from me with no trouble. They are pricey but may be worth trying.

Hi PI! Oh no! You missed him rolling over! Awwww! My LO keeps wheelie-ing up on her side. I'm afraid I'll miss her landing on her stomach too. I think her ear is feeling better. Thanks!
Scuba--my LO didn't roll over until 4months and 9 days. I was starting to get worried too. Pediatricians aren't worried until they are 6 months and haven't rolled over. But, I know how you feel. I get down on the floor with her and put a toy in front of her that she likes. On the day she rolled over, I was encouraging her to look up at her toy, and boom, she rolled over. But, she hasn't done it since. Some days she is really good with her push ups, but most days not. I guess we just have to be patient. They will reach all their milestones eventually.
---We were out at the mall today and LO started in with her shrieking/squealing scream. I couldn't find the pacifier fast enough to soothe her. Many ladies came over to look to see how I was torturing my poor child! It was so embarrassing!! : /Us: 42 yrs old (I know!)
