mel- I wish they slept they slept that long. They sleep 4-5 hours for one stretch. So, 10 to between 2 and 3. C sometimes doesn't wake up and if I let her sleep she may go 6 hours but I have been dream feeding her so I don't have to wake up separately! A typical night these days is 7-10-2-5, give or take an hour.
I just saw the sex question. It hurts because my V is dry like the Sahara Desert!

Bebe - Your girls I think are doing great at night, we are around the same 8 - 130 the long stretch, 430, 7 give or take an hour. Like you I am very dry but unsure where the pain comes from it seems to be internal but has lessoned and yes why does it hurt since we had c sections
Sweet - I really like Parenthood but watch it on demand, how is the Wii fit I was thinking about getting it. Although a month or so ago I was doing yoga and toning and then had a bad colic week and have not gotten back into yet..got to start. That's great you are still able to bfeed, who would have thought it would have been such a pain! Do you get night sweats? My DH also thinks I can sleep when they do haha if they ever both go down at the same time for more than 10 minutes
Misty That is great about the gym, I think my gym days are over at home workout for now, but I do miss my spin classes who knows maybe by the fall
Alex good luck this weekend it shall be a lot of work I hope your L behaves
Whitely I try to go to outings to build confident but like you and Bebe I stress and rock the babies stroller like mad or rush and get inpatience..it is getting better the more you go the better it gets and truthfully my guys really like being out of the house
Mel How is T? She is approaching 3 months, the big milestone for all of us. I guess we are looking for the 12 week growth spurt, since the babies have been eating less it should be easy to spot
AFM, I went up to my parents today, I drove an hour just me and the babies, they slept in their car seat both ways and had a wonderful day, they came home beat, and were in bed alseep by 8, G didn't need her usually one hour soothing!! I think I will go once a week the babies really love the extra attention and they deserve more attention during the week days. Since it has been warmer I have the babies in just their diapers in the morning for a little bit and I love holding the babies when they are just in their diapers, seeing their chubby thighs and soft skin god I love how cute there are. They have the best toes! As for my bff thank you she is devastated and we all know how it feels, I just hope that where it ends and there is no IF issues. Well off to catch some zzzs before the feed

Nicole - Did you hear that IVF is now covered in Quebec? Can you believe it?!?! Maybe by the time I am ready to have my next kid they will cover it in Ontario. They are only putting back one maybe two if there are reasons for it. They did a cost analysis and they would safe bundles of money if they covered IVF in the long run because of the healthcare costs associated with multiples.
We are approaching the 3 month milestone and things are going well. She definitely cries a lot less. Now she only really cries for a reason and I am able to fix it. She sleeps like the the twins but lately has been fussing in her sleep around 6ish...I think it is still a little gas...She goes on Monday for some shots that we delayed...Well she is doing big yawns I better get to her nap. I find if I get her before she is really tired we don't even get a cry out of her!

Mel - I think in Quebec you get 2 tries. I'm sorry I can not remember why everyone did IVF, are you sure you can not get pregnant on your own, can I ask why you did IVF? We are old 36 and now have 2 we have not ruled out another but hopefully we can on our own, we have 2 frozen embies.
Last night the babies were down by 8pm and I had to wake them at 230am to feed...miracle! Yes I am still waking them until they are over 3 months. Its beautiful outside we will get lots of fresh air today so maybe a repeat of yesterday. I decided since yesterday went so well we will visit every Tuesday for a change of scenery. J fell asleep playing on his mat today that was a first, hopefully I sign of things to come, self soothing...ahhh now if G could loose the colic we would be perfect! She is much better but still mild case. Mel let me know how your 12 week growth spurt goes. I can not remember are you still bfeeding?

nic - bfeeding exculsively...so much so that she refused the bottle the other night! We did IVF because of DH low sperm count and I only have one tube because of a ruptured ectopic a few years back. It is possible I guess just not very likely. The meds my DH takes for his low testerone make his sperm count low but without the meds he isn't happy. I defintely would like another maybe two.
I'll let you know about the spurt, like your two, T doesn't seem to eat very much these days, usually only taking one side now and is done in like 10 mins.medicated cycles and iui 2005 - 2008 = BFN

i think they get more efficent at sucking the milk down as they grow. also i know that my let down has become a lot more foreceful and im making what seems like gallons. L still likes the comfort nurse thing, esp when he's over tired and cranky which is happening earlier and earlier. he went down at 830 with only an ounce or so in him then woke at 930 and guzzeld a 4ounce bottle of bm, went back to sleep and woke again at 4 something... or should i say my painful megaboobs woke me and he was getting wiggly so i grabbed him and nursed! im not counting on that happening twice though.... Im almost out of frozen milk so i am going to have to start pumping again in my oodles of free time. My dog needs the dressings changed daily and thirty mins of hydrotherapy! yippee..... thank god L doesnt mind caffiene cos im dying here.... ads placed and lots of positive thoughts for my sale on saturday that im not ready for...

I think there are a few states in the US that make insurance companies cover IVF too- California is not one of them so we were very lucky that DH's company's insurance covered the cost of about 2/3 of one try (lucky it worked!).
Nicole- sorry G has had her cranky pants on so much lately!
Glad it's getting better!
Alexis- good luck this weekend. Know when I pump? 4 in the morning! It seems like the only time my boobs have extra milk in them AND there is time to do it, since babies are sleeping.
Sounds like our babies are sleeping longer- last night for the first time ever both girls slept a 6-hour stretch from 9:30 to 3:30! After they were done they did not want to go back to sleep, what a pain. I had started pumping already so I made DH get up. C was fussy and he thought maybe hungry still (not a chance, but I thought maybe it would soothe her). I was pumping one side and feeding/ soothing her on the other. I pumped almost 5 oz! I think it would have been more if C hadn't been on there part of the time. Painful megaboobs over here too! (for her part, C spat up a ton after she guzzled...naturally!). they still like to eat every 2 hours during the day so I never pump during the day...
How are the naps going? I have been reading that book Healthy Sleep Habits Happy Twins and it says at this age babies should not be awake more than 2 hours in a row, should sleep super often during the day! Ummm, not happening over here. He says you should put them down drowsy, which I am working on. I love it when they take long naps during the day. Ideally he says you should try to synchronize naps and feedings with twins, not happening here either. How about you guys?

bebe:- i cant imagine syncingup two... i cant get my one to be even remotely predictable. We're working on weaning from napping only in the moby to sometimes in the moby.... thats about it... If L is up more than 2hrs straight then be prepared for meltdown....the crying jags till we find a way to get him to sleep are agonizing. sometimes i can lay him down sleeping, have him rouse and then drift back off but thats as close as we get to 'lay them down drowsy but awake'
I put up a poll on how often we're nursing during the day.... i wonder how it compares to formula feeding.
Today i packed half a box ate half a cold meal and changed what feels like 80000000 nappies! the boy squeals and screams if there is so much as a DROP of pee in there so i probably change every 30 mins awake time and after every little sleep.... Pampers Babydry have stopped him waking because hes wet at night so thats awesome and we've begun doing three poops a day (in a row) for say....three days and then we'll miss a day and do four 'go straight to the shower, do not pass go, do not forget entire new outfit' i have now given up and shall devote myself to dumping my stuff in the yard and on the porch for the sale...... anyone want anything lol......
lately L has taken to demanding the boob like he's starving.... nurses just long enough to get my milk to let down and then passes out until milk runs out the corners of his mouth and i have to scramble to get a nursing pad on there and the boob put up without waking him or drenching everything in milk! ugh... ive been through two bras and three shirts today... my sheets smell like cheese too! ick babies are great b/c i can tell you

Alexis- yesterday I changed 4 times b/c C spat up a lot on 3 shirts. She changed 4 times for those 3 events as well as a giant poop explosion! That was horrible- got out everywhere it could, and of course when the onesie is poopy and has to get off over the head, the whole baby gets poopy! Ugh. Can you pump on one side and hold L on the other if your breasts are that full? Wow...maybe next time you will have twins, put all that milk production to good use! My babies cry fiercely to eat sometimes too, as if it's been more than 2 hours!!!

Alexis - I am formula feeding E, not breastfeeding at all but I thought I would let you know how often for comparison. I feed E 4oz every 3 hours during the day and once at night, sometimes 2 times. It works out to about 7 - 8 bottles a day. I didn't know how much was good for formula feeding but my friend told me to take his weight and multiply it by 2.5 - 2.7 and that is how many ounces they should eat in 24 hrs. Evan's last weight was 11 lbs so he should be getting between 27.5 - 29.7 ounces and that is what he is getting. When he goes through a growth spurt he does take more formula and feeds more often as well.
Bebe - I am trying really hard to get E into a routine for naps, no luck yet. I can't wait for the day that he sleeps consistently in the morning and afternoon. E isn't usually up more than 2 hrs without falling asleep. Sometimes it's only for 15 mins - 30 mins, other times it's for 2 - 3 hrs. DH keeps giving me trouble for rocking E to sleep, he thinks I should put him down and let him fall asleep. Doesn't work!
Nicole - We did IVF cause I have PCOS and DH has low sperm. We still did manage 2 naturally but not with lots of time inbetween because of TTC. Third was the hardest and we ended up going with IVF as nothing else was working. Their is 5.5 yr between oldest and middle, 8 yrs between middle and E.me 32 DH 34 me PCOS
