Carson is almost potty trained

at only 2 yrs old. I was scared cause i have heard friends say they have 3 and sometimes 4 yr olds still not potty trained. His preschool teacher told me today that Carson is the first one to go into big boy underwear. I am so proud of him and there was no forcing, just encouraging and him doing this all on his own! Night time he still wets though but i am so proud of him.

congrats! what a huge milestone. i think it's quite common for the daytime and nighttime training (and success) NOT to be at the same time.

we've just officially started training -- as you said didn't force it although we've been using the potty on and off for quite a while. last weekend with the halloween flurry of candy we started to use m+m's to incent.

monday night E demanded panties. luckily i had some ready to go! we had an oops that night, diapers for the overnight, huge success the next AM (poop+pee in the potty in the same session) and went to pre-school in panties.

panties again today.

we're having accidents, but we're on our way. i think (hope!) it won't be long.

Yep, my 3 year old is just now trying. We are doing okay. Just like I did CLW, I am letting him decide to PL on his time.
