    Speaking of toys...

I'm not sure how many of you know about: www.oompatoys.com "NO BATTERIES. NO BLINKING LIGHTS. NO CARTOON-THEMED TOYS. PERIOD."

I just discovered this site. Hope it's a new site to someone else too, so I don't feel like a loser all by myself!!! LOL

    Tea,

Move over, missy, this site is new to me too! I think it's GREAT! DH and I look at each other sheepishly. "Why is it that we're always giving her only low-tech toys?" LOL Because grandma and grandpa make sure that batteries are required!

I love simple toys too! I'm not familiar with that particular site, but my Mom gave Charlotte a wooden pull snail made by Plan Toys that's adorable. I found it on that site.
I also gave my oldest DD a wooden doll house for her birthday this year. Much better than the plastic junk.

Whew!! So glad I'm not the only one who missed this. We have gone a little high tech (only in the fact that a lot of the toys are battery operated and make noise-ugh.), but would so much rather the simpler stuff. I really do think that is what helps the imagination develop, although I don't think I really need to worry about that with Teddy. He can be sooooo weird sometime, but a funny weird, kwim? LOL
