IVF - Multiple IVF'ers This is a place for those that have gone through or are going through IVF and have done multiple IVF cycles. There maybe mention of other children in posts. Undergoing IVF can be physically, emotionally, and financially draining, particularly for women who are unsuccessful and proceed with another or multiple IVFs.

bloodwork for 3rd ivf cycle shows high estradiol level

I'm just trying to see if anyone out there has had this same issue, and if you were able to cycle and what the result was. I've cycled two times previously, both with fine fsh and e2 levels. Now we are starting with Shady Grove in Columbia, and my FSH level came back as 1.7 while my E2 level was way up at 228. Anyone had this happen? We are still waiting on all our insurance stuff to clear, but I'm concerned that they won't let me cycle due to such a high e2 level....any thoughts?

Amy

Hi Amy,

I went to your clinic for my first few cycles and I can tell you that they will do everything in their power to make your cycle happen. Did you have an ultrasound? You may have a cyst that is producing E2. I just got the go ahead and my E2 is 90 which is borderline so it can happen!

If you need anything other advice, PM me!

Erin

Thanks for the info. I did have an US on the day of my first appointment with Shady Grove, and there were no cysts, which I am actually happy about because for my last two cycles, I had a decent sized cyst on my left ovary during my last two cycles, so I am ecstatic that it is gone! They just called me yesterday to confirm my insurance approval, and are putting me in the next cycle so I guess they figure it won't be a big issue. I think I'll be on the lupron/follistem/menapur concoction, which is the same thing they had me on in my previous cycles at WRAMC. I'm just glad the cycle is a go!

well, I am officially starting bcp tomorrow night!!! I called the nurse today, and she put in the order for my protocols, so I guess they don't see a problem with me starting!!!!YAY! I am super excited! I've been on a low-carb diet, prenatal vitamin, extra folic and omega-3, and I have been seeing an acupuncturist weekly for the past 2 1/2 months. I AM STOKED FOR THIS CYCLE!!
