IVF - Multiple IVF'ers This is a place for those that have gone through or are going through IVF and have done multiple IVF cycles. There maybe mention of other children in posts. Undergoing IVF can be physically, emotionally, and financially draining, particularly for women who are unsuccessful and proceed with another or multiple IVFs.

Smile Assisted hatching

Hi everyone...

This is our 3rd ivf and my doctor is trying assisted hatching this time. Has anyone had assisted hatching and had positive results?

Hi!! I am really mostly a lurker but I did have assisted hatching done on my 2nd IVF cycle and with only 2 embies transferred I got pregers with triplets (2 identicals & 1 fraternal). So Assisted Hatching does work. I will be having AH done on my FET cycle in about another month. Good luck!!!

I'm getting ready for my first FET after two failed fresh cycles. My dh and I are pretty much insisting on assisted hatching. Sometimes the embryos just don't have enough energy to implant and this kind of gives them a boost. If our FET doesn't work we are going to do another fresh cycle and I'm going to demand it for then to. We didn't do it in our first two tries, but I definately will now. It can help your chances. Hope this helps.

Had no AH during our first IVF as we did a day five blast transfer (2 transferred).
This resulted in a chemical pregnancy with rapidly dropping betas.

Second IVF we decided to try a Day-3 transfer instead, we transferred 4, all were AH'd. We are currently pregnant with fraternal twins.
