Yesterday was test day and yep it was negative... They all are - 4 now and I am not sure what to do.
My problem is tubal although they are not hydros so IVF should of worked by now. Every time I have responded well to the meds, good fertilisation rates, good quality embryos (on day 2 - standard policy at my clinic in the UK). However, all 3 fresh and 1 FET have been negative - never seen a positive test.
I did however have a NKC test a year ago and these were high but as my clinic doesnt believe in it (yet) nothing was done. I am going to consult another clinic but wondered if any of you ladies had any words of wisdom or know of anybody that has achieved a pg after so many BFNs. I also have 6 frosties.
All my love,

Oh Emma I am so sorry. I know there is nothing I can really say to make you feel better. But please know that I have been there and I am sending you hugs.

So sorry to hear about your negative results! I was there many many times and it's just heart breaking.
Is there any way you can ask your new RE/clinic to treat you for immune problems? It sounds like that could be affecting implantation. If your NKC test was positive, then your body will attack the embryo and not let it develop.
After 3 negative IVFs I tested also but it was negative. By the grace of God, IVF #4 worked and am currently 13 wks.
Please don't give up, all of us on these boards know how emotionally draining this whole process is. It's good to hear you have 6 frosties waiting for you.
All the best to you!

I just wanted to let you know that I got pregnant on my 5th fresh cycle (after 4 fresh and 2 FETs). It certainly can happen. You might try a different clinic if possible. I wish you the best of luck! PS- I know several other ladies with 4 or more BFNs that are now pregnant.
Karen42 years old and finally a mom!
Our son Elijah (Eli) was born 2/10/06
following 4 years ttc, 5 fresh IVFs (plus 2 FETs).

Emma - I so know how you feel. Hubby & I had more BFNs than I can count. Who knows how many IUIs and 5 failed fresh IVF's. But right now I am 7 1/2 weeks pregnant from IVF #6. This was absolutely to be our last attempt. Insurance wouldn't cover any more and we were emotionally spent. I don't know if this little bean will make it 9 months, I can only pray. But I've seen my first BFP because we didn't give up.
Best advice, talk to more doctors, try different meds, ask lots of questions, get them to change things up for you.
Good luck to you.

I know your heartbreak and desperation...it sucks I think I would consider going to another doctor/clinic. It really can't hurt. If you have it in you I would continue my atempts. i became pg with twins on my 3rd try. I also always had good embryo quality. Can't really explain why it worked when it did and why it didn't the other times. My heart goes out to you. Best of luck

thank you all for your kind messages. Its certainly fantastic to hear of BFPs after so many negative cycles. DH and I have decided to get a second opinion elsewhere and I received my registration pack this morning. This clinic in London specialise where other clinics have failed and have a good record with immune testing, PGD and the likes. Who knows.....but I cant use my frosties until I know there is nothing else wrong. God this is so ****ed hard - I never imagioned I would be childless and I seem to be going down that road. BUT, not ready to hang up the ovaries for good but cant take much more of this. All my love to you and thanks again. Emma xxxxx

Advice from a fellow Brit
I am a lurker, don't usually post but had to reply to you. I am a Brit living in California. I am lucky to live 30 minutes drive from Dr. Beer. He used to have offices in London. I have had 4 IVFs: twins from the first then BFN, a second trimester loss, then BFN. I felt that there HAD to be something else wrong - my embies were perfect each time. I was guided to him by Lauren2005. Do a search on her posts for info. Go to the immune board on FT. Also VERY important: go to http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/immunologysupport/ and join up. Read, research and then some more. Consider being a long distance patient of Dr Beer. He never sees most of his patients - he consults by phone. There are at least two women from the UK that are currently on the Yahoo group who are patients of his. He does the most thorough testing. Before you spend any more energy and dollars, you must get a thorough checkout. Most doctors only do partial testing and women try again only to fail and then find out there was a different problem that wasn't tested for first time. Check out the files on the Y! group look for collaborating doctors in the UK.
I was told after my first BFN that immune testing was inaccurate and unnecessary. I went on to have a loss at 16w and then a BFN. I have now found out that my NKs are twice what they should be plus I have MTHFR, low blocking antibodies and a cytokine problem. NO WONDER I couldn't sustain a pregnancy. If I'd only known then what I know now.
Hope that helps,

Emma, I'm so sorry to here about all yout negatives. I have beeen there and still there.
I've been PG naturally x4 but unfortuanately they were all tubal PG's. I have tubal damage also. My "1st IVF" was a chemical pg,(good quality transferred) "2nd IVF negative(good quality)transferred, 3rd IVF negative(good quality transferred), 4th IVF negative(eggs no cell division except 2/27eggs that were a 4 and 5 cell) and 5th IVF all 15 eggs made to blatocyst they transferred 2 and at the end of the day still had a BFN.Luckily I have 3 blats frozen and I'm looking forward to transferring them in the new year and hopefully get a BFP.
My tubes were not Hydrosalpinx and my gynecologists who did my procedure through a mini cut said you wouldn't even know that they were damaged by looking at them infect they looked normal. But after 4 tubals my new RE wanted them to be taken out or tied but I said i will only allow them to be tied. I know that feeling all to and all i can say is hang in there and keep the faith. Hopefully you will get some answers from the new clinic. Take care.
4 ectopic PG's naturally
1st IVF chemical PG
2ND, 3RD, 4TH AND 5TH IVF BFN
have 3 frozen blatocysts
