This is my first IVF cycle and i am just hanging around reading up on as much as i can. I am still on BCPs and will be going in for my baseline u/s tomorrow morning so fingers crossed tha everything is good to go by Saturday which is when i am to start stims. Good luck everyone and :vibegirl
Got my calendar today! On bcps now, mock transfer next Friday, start stims nov 3 with retrieval around nov 15 or 16. Hope I don't stim too long or I could be transferring on thanksgiving! Praying this cycle gives me something to be thankful for.
Good luck B&K at your ultrasound!!
Yay to Lily for getting your calendar! I just got my big box of medications in the mail today and now it actually feels REAL. Start Lupron on Monday. Here goes nothing...
Grimsweet: I hate the injections too (don't we all!) but I definitely thought the worst part last time was all the progesterone shots you have to take through your first trimester if you get pregnant. I switched RE's this time around the he doesn't do progesterone shots but suppositories which sounds like a much better option for me. Maybe ask if that is a possibility??? Anyone have any experience with the suppositories???
I have been feeling so tired and run down lately and realized it's probably because I haven't been getting to the gym the last week because I've been so swamped. What kind of diet and exercise plan are you guys following? I want to feel good and be healthy but I want to be careful not to over do it. My IVF friend told me not to go crazy exercising because she read somewhere that too much exercise can be detrimental to getting pregnant. Not sure if there is any weight in that though.
Hello everyone, I think I belong to this great group. I started BCP on 10.10 and should start lupron on 10.24. It's our first IVF cycle so i'm hoping to give and receive some support and learn from all you incredible ladies.
Thank you-MP :)
Hi ladies, I know I’m new to your group and hate to make a bad impression by venting but seriously! I think my fertility Dr. is the reason I stress! He promised me last Wednesday that I would get my calendar on Tuesday October 16th. Well as expected I didn't get it. I called them today and the nurse said they should have it to me by next week. I said that was not what we discussed and that he promised me I would have it this week. She called me back to say i would have it tomorrow. Which yes makes me happy but I just feel like they are the reason I’m stressed.
As a new person to this experience I am trying to take things as they come and day by day but are my expectations to high? What if any advice can you fantastic ladies offer me?:D
Thank you-MP
Welcome A-Wee-Pearson best of luck on your cycle here. I am also a first timer so we we surely learn a lot as we go. Your RE doesn't sound to reassuruing especially as this is your first cycle with them. Mine is very organised work well with me. Maybe you just need a little time to acclamate to how your RE works. Best of luck.
Meaksbaby Sorry to hear you've been feeling down. Don't really have any great words of wisdom regarding excersise but i would say stay active as much as you can, i wish i could. I'll try some walking and see how that goes during stims.
Lily20212 Congrats for getting your calendar, hope the cycle is blessed!
Grimsweet I know needles can really be a pain. I do have a high tolerance for them though, just dont know if i will be able to give them to myself, we'll see. My nurse told me today the first couple of the days are the worst, after that its a breeze, i hope so, cuz i def dont want to start freaking out.
AFM Had my baseline u/s today and everything looks good to go so i stopped the bcps (FINALLY) and will begin stim on Saturday, depending on how i respond i could have ER and ET any day between 10/28 and 11/5 so fingers crossed it happens in good time.
B&KsBabies - Glad to hear your baseline u/s looked good! This is my first time too. So unsure of what to expect. Best of luck!
Meaksbaby- I think walking is probably the safest exercise once on stims. The little folder my RE's office gave us had some information of this so your RE's office may have something too. For now I'm trying (not very successfully) to stay active. We are rotating days - run one day, go to the gym for weights the next. I had been doing Yoga in the mornings. I had heard that it helped increase blood flow to the Pelvic region and would help with my low amh. But it was very relaxing to me and I feel that it helped me in other ways. Ultimately you don't want to lose a lot of weight right before, according to some of the stuff I've read. Your best bet would be to talk to your nurse and see what's okay for you and your situation. As far as diet goes I'm trying to incorporate as many fruits and veggies into all our meals. I like doing healthy breakfast smoothies. They look pretty bad but actually taste great. I do about two handfuls of spinach (for the folate), a citrus fruit (Pinapple, oranges- this helps your body digest all the nutrients in the spinach) and other fruit like berries. Sometimes I'll throw in Arugula for the tartness or other things. You really can't taste the spinach and it keeps me energized in the AM. Or it did when I was doing it... Hope you are feeling better!
A-Wee-Person- I'm with you on that feeling. I feel like my lack of knowing is whats causing me all this stress. I hope that your RE's office is able to fix this and get that calendar to you. I think you are right- All you can do with this process is take it day by day or in many cases just step by step. I wish I had some better advice but I'm far too new to all this. Best of luck to you!!
Well I started my Vivelle patches today. Roughly 2.5 weeks left before my FET. I am really looking forward to it. November 5th is supposed to be my transfer date (2-grade 5AB blast to be transfered), then my pregnancy test on the 14th. I have some date to look forward to, but just taking it much easier this time around and not thinking about it too much. I think the first time around, I thought about it too much, so this time I am much more relaxed.
Anyway, just wanted to touch base with you guys on what is going on with me and prayerfully, my DH and I will get that answer we are looking for.
@all Faith - sounds like we're on the same schedule! I started Vivelle about 10 days ago and have gradually been adding more, every two days. Still chugging along with the lupron for a FET on 10/30.
All you other lovely ladies - good luck! So sorry for the lack of personals but this android app sucks and you can't scroll to comment while reading updates.
Bc-heart, BC-Faith and BC-stargazerlily are three of my favorites on this Site so you're all in good hands!!!!
