    Can Metformin increase estrogen levels??

I have a couple questions about estrogen levels & Metformin. I plan on talking to my RE this week but I just wanted to see if anyone had opinions. My DH and I just finished our ER today and my RE is afraid that I will be suffering from OHSS since my estrogen was so high. My estrogen went from being low to 1500s after 4 days on stims. My next number was 2427 followed by 5751 three days before retreival. Do you think that Metformin can cause estrogen levels to increase abnormally?? I have been on 500 mg of Metformin since Nov 2011.

I feel great and I'm not in any pain after ER. I haven't felt bloated and I'm hoping it holds off and OHSS isn't going to show. I guess only time will tell...

Has anyone been on Metformin while completeing IVF and had increased E2 Levels?

It sounds like the stimulation meds may have caused it. 1500 after 4 days is very high. A couple of questions:

How many eggs were retrieved? What was your dosage and is this your first IVF?

    Hope you're resting comfortably!!

I'm feeling really good but, still making sure I rest all day (only took low dose tyloenol at 10am) . I don't want to take a chance. Yep. I completely agree that the stims played a huge role but I was just thinking that the metformin didn't help any. This is my first IVF and we had 26 eggs retrieved.

    Menopur 75IU 8/3-8/11
