    HPT after day 3 transfer

I had a day 3 transfer of 2 embryos on 7/2, so today (7/7), I am 5dp3dt. When should I do an HPT? I don't want to test too early because of the risk of false negatives that early on, but I can't take the waiting anymore. What do you think? Also, any recommendations as to which HPT's are the best?

I tested 6dp3dt, and I got a super faint line. Today, 8dp3dt, I got a darker line. The first time I used a Target brand test, and I used a FRER for the second.

It sounds like you'll be getting some good news this week! I hope everything works out for you. I'm so stressed - I'm scared to test but I can't help myself. This is my second IVF. The first IVF, I got a positive beta and then my hcg was down to 0 five days later by my second beta (early MC). I really hope that I get a positive and that it stays positive!

My first faint positive was around day 7dp3dt. It immediately appeared the following days (using FRER) and my first HCG was 550 (think that was 13dp3dt). By day 10, it was clear as day, even late in the afternoon. Give it a day or two and keep your mind focused on positive thoughts. Testing early can relieve an immediate need for gratification but if it's too early, can lead us down the path of serious doubt, unnecessarily.

I couldn't wait any longer and tested this morning (6dp3dt). It was negative. I know it really could be too early to test but now of course I'm worried.

On a side note: I am feeling a mild "pulling" sensation in my lower abdomen. Could that be anything?

I tested again today (7dp3dt). On FRER, it was negative. On Wondfo "drip strip", it was positive - there was a faint but definite second line (yesterday I also tested with FRER and Wondfo and both were negative)! I hope this is good, although I always thought that FRER would be the most sensitive, but apparently not.
